Guys,
Good morning. Entering our 2nd Tournament of the season, we'll be also offering a $5.00 Optional Miscellaneous category for this event.
Miscellaneous can be a Pickeral, Perch, shad, crappie, bluegill, and etc. It cannot be a Turtle, bird, beaver, otter, snake, and You get the Point! LOL!!
So in addition to your normal $15 entry fee, if you want in on the MISC category, then add another $5.00 to your entry fee.
Regards,
BN06

Because 95% of the time when we carch a carp bass fishing it gets snagged in the back or the tail with trebles lol...although i did have a 10lber eat a jig once at Lums, but that was once in a bunch of years of fishing |

If a bass is caught like that, it's legal so that is kind of silly to me. |

Really? I thought they had to be hooked in the mouth? or somewhere that indicated the fish was trying to eat it |

Some states have that stupid rule (hook in the mouth), but not NJ. |

Actually, I may be wrong on this????
It Is Unlawful To:
• Fish within 100 feet (or as posted) of any fish
ladder entrance or exit from March 1 through
June 30.
• Spear fish in fresh waters. See exception for
Delaware River, page 28.
• Possess a fishing device with more than nine
hooks in total, or more than three treble hooks,
except for the Delaware River; see page 28.
• Use set lines.
• Use cast nets in freshwater lakes or trout stocked
waters. See Baitfish Regulations, page 31 for
other exclusions.
• Foul hook or snag any species of fish. This does
not apply to fish taken through the ice.

After further review, I am wrong it appears. Lame if you ask me.

I believe that means as in purposely, like ripping a weighted treble through a school of fish that u see. I remember on the river elite t the outside the mouth rule only applied if I were on the PA side of the river

So if someone is ripping a trap and snags a 6lber in the tail, that fish gets brought in and weighed? and then high fives all around? lol |

During winter t anything should count snag or not cause nothing bites in the cold lol. During regular season, shad and carp shouldnt count. You shouldnt lose misc with a 3lb crappie that bit a lure to someones 4lb shad that was snagged. Thats like having a 6.5 at rainbow and not getting lunker lol |
