Here is a quick video as the SJHT anglers took off....Notice a particular angler at the forefront making sure all of his 150HP ponies are working full strength. LOL

Like last week, there were alot of Bass caught. There were multiple limits caught and tons of sub par 12" Bass caught. This seems to be the pattern for the Canal lately.

Without further adieu, please give a big shout out to Jackson *Say my name...say my name* Fu. for taking 1st place and Lunker with 3 Bass going 7.85lbs. Fu Lunker went 3.53lbs. 2nd Place was won by Dennis *Jiggen Den* T. with 3 Bass weighing 6.86lbs. 3rd Place was won by Dan *Crappie Jon* F. with 3 Bass going 6.39lbs. Congrats to these men as they were able to cull through the smaller dinks and come away with keepers.

Wow Rob that looked scary. Hard to tell from the video but do you think you were trimmed too high and the prop came out of the water when the nose dipped? Was it porpoising around the turn, did the bow dive hard and hook? That areas shallow and it looks like you cut it close to the right flat, did the motor bottom out as you turned left? Glad nothing happened. Btw thats the spot kyle also tboned me once lol

jackson
Damn I only photobombed 4 of those photos Grin

Thanks I had a great day! I had atleast 20 bass with 10-11 being keepers! Lost a good one too. Had a plan and stuck too it. Congrats Jackson on a nice bag too. Dan too congrats on 3rd. I couldn't open Rob's close call because my PC is saying I need Adobe Flash Player installed is there a charge for this? I am not good with computers.

Thanks Jackson...I think the outboard may have caught the bottom. It wasn't porpoising as I was going. It seemed when it made the turn, it was almost pivoting from the back when it made the extreme turn, almost like the motor maybe hit something or bottomed out like you said. I'm just glad no one was coming the other way when it happened. I just need to get the feel for the boat a bit more.

When did Kyle T-bone you there? In your tracker? In his bros boat? Crazy.

rvansciver
Rob I think you were trimmed up to high and as you turned the boat skipped, I have had mine skip around a turn if i was trimmed up too much. I can here the motor rev as your about to turn and in the previous turn i hear it too.

jackson
I meant almost tboned me lol
