Welcome back to SJHT 3rd Club Tournament of the 2016 SJHT Bass Club Season.

Another great turnout and shout out to our guest angler Mark of the South Jersey Kayak Fishing Club. Always great having you onboard. Kudos to you man!!

Today, [b]SJHT had 15 members and 1 guest.
On a day the Fu Man could have been slaying them at Assunpink, he decided to stay closer to home. Too bad for the rest of the field.

Today's Union lake Club Tournament can be summed up in two words. Enduring and persistance till the end. On day where rain and high winds were predicted throughout the early AM and into the early PM, SJHT members met it head on and did not quiver. Yes...it was a pain in the arse. Yes....our hands and feet wet and cold. Yes..the fish were hard to find but when they were found, it paid off for some.

Without further adieu, please give a big shout out to Jackson "I'm Back itches" F. for taking 1st place and Lunker with 3 Bass weighing 7.66lbs. His Lunker went 3.01lbs. 2nd Place was won by Dave *Not so much a Rookie* S. with the 2nd limit of 3 Bass weighing 5.79lbs. . 3rd Place was won by Mark with 2 Bass weighing 2.15lbs. Congrats men. Way to work hard for those fish.

Summary: Union Lake and the rainy conditions made things a bit tough for most. It was nice not being behind a desk and getting out amongst my compadres', however the bites seem to come later in the day as the weather and skies improved. Judging from the[b] Tale of the Tape, anglers tried to catch the elusive Bass which most did. LOL.

There were a total of 15 Bass weighed in totalling a whopping 23.78lbs. That gave way to a 1.59lb avg. catch. There was 2 Limits caught. [b]8 out of 16 anglers caught at least 1 Bass.

All in All, outside of the chilling rain, the day turned out to be nice after all. The wind was really a non-factor. Global warming must be in full effect. LOL!

Thanks to all for coming out.

Next up is Rainbow Lake next Sunday.

Hope to see those all there :->

Haha, actually the opppsite. She hasn't slept in 4 months since the arrival of our little one so she may have been a bit delirious...Those weights aren't too bad for 9 boats and the weather.....I mentioned to Jackson on Saturday that you guys should merge RBC with us.
