In the Midst of Kicking off Day 1 of our annual 2015 SJHT event, this is what we saw as we launched and pictures don't really do it justice.
and not to be left out, Donald Ducks little brother was there to party and partake in the festivities.

The 2015 SJHT season has officially ended. There were records broken with overall total weight by a single individual, Total overall points, and Lunker weights by many members. In has seemed like a pretty long season. We’ve had guys come out and give their best week-in and week-out. This weekend was no different. Over this past weekend, we had 21 anglers qualify for our end of the season Bass Classic however only 15 anglers actually came out to play…..and play they did!
It’s a winner take all format and the opportunity for the winner to claim the original SJHT Stewarts\Carnegie Championship Bass Classic Belt and the entire purse that goes along with it. Not too mention bragging rights till the following year. LOL
Back to Day 1 of the SJHT Classic:
There were a total of 26 Bass caught giving way to a total of 34.28lbs. 14 out of 15 anglers caught at least 1 Bass. We had 4 limits caught. Day 1 Lunker went 2.81lbs and was won by Rob “Ram1212” M.. The overall avg. weight went 1.32lbs.
2015 Most Improved Angler Dan “Crappie Jon” F. led day 1 with 2 Bass weighing a total of 4.73lbs. He was followed by up and coming member White Mike with 3 Bass going 3.99lbs. In 3rd place and always within reaching distance was the 2013 AOY and 3 Time Classic Champion Jackson “Here me Roar” Fu with 3 Bass going 3.70lbs.

Day 1 Stewart Lake Tale of the Tape:
Most anglers were catching bass, but not really the right size to take a commanding lead. The heavy fog couple with the stain water and lack of wind made the start very interesting. All stated, it was going to be good or really tough. With less than a .74lb lead, most anglers that didn't have a lunker type keeper felt fishing at Carnegie was where it was going to won outright.
Finale Day 2
Place: Carnegie Lake, Princeton, NJ
Time: 6:30am-2:30pm
Weather: Very Cool and breezy start. Temps in the High 50’s, warming up to 73 degrees. Overcast skies led to Blue bird skies late in the AM. Very different from the previous day.
Winds:15-20mph most of the day.
Water temps: 71 up passed the Princeton Boat House. 74 Degrees near the launching boat ramp. Temps rising to a high near 76 Degrees towards the end.
Water Clarity: Down to 1.5
Water current and Level: Down about 1’. A lot of wood and fallen timber near the shorelines.
Best Lure: Jigs; Traps, finesse worms, and beavers
Depths fished: 2.5~ 8.0'
Bass Limit: 3
---------------------------------------------
With everything still up for grabs, 14 out of 15 anglers came back for Day 2 of this event with eyes set on dethroning 2014 SJHT Classic Champion Brian “SubFish” McCulley and taking 3 Time SJHT Classic Jackson Fu down with the Titanic. Dan held a slim lead with White Mike, Action Jackson, Joe Reed, and BN06 , hanging in Striking distance. With the 2011, 2012, and 2013 Classic Champ Silent Assasin Jackson Fu about 1.03lbs behind, he definitely had his Aaron Martin face on upon arriving at Carnegie Lake. However, other anglers also had their game faces on quite notably White Mike. He had that Rocky Balboa “Eye of the Tiger” look on and Rowdy Rodney Piper expression like “Let’s Get it on Right Here Partner”. Others were more or less like lets roll the dice and see where they fall.
Back to the Day 2 Finale:
Like last years Day 2 Finale at Assunpink Lake, Carnegie turned out to be the equalizer which brought out the “Big Girls” quite literally.
Our 2015 AOY Jackson *Silent Assassin* was positioned in such a way that if the leaders faulted or didn't catch any keepers, the door could be left open for him just like he destroyed things throughout our 2015 Regular club season.
Ladies and gentlemen, here is how the conclusion went down at the weigh in.
Can you say Get er’ done? There were a lot of Bass caught by some contenders and some that tried to make up for a lesser showing on Saturday. Anglers brought in 22 Bass. There were 4 Limits weighed in. On the final day, only 11 out of 14 anglers caught at leasts 1 Bass. This gave way to a total of 44.73lbs and a 2.03lb avg. bass. This was an amazing .71lb avg. increase from the weights at Stewarts. The Lunker weights increased and changed hands on almost every angler weigh-in. Tournament Director and Weigh Master Rob was like WTF? By the time the previous angler went to release there bag, a new Lunker Leader had changed hands by the time they got back up to weigh station.
Ladies and gentlemen, please congratulate SJHT’s reigning 2015 Angler of the Year and Now 4 Times SJHT 2015 SJHT Bass Classic Champion along with 2015 Lunker of the Year! Jackson *It’s So Easy* Fu on taking this years coveted belt, Day 2 Lunker winner going 4.48lbs, and the overall monetary purse with 3 Bass going 7.88lbs giving him a combine 11.58lbs overall weight
2015 Angler of Year:
Jackson *Silent Assassin* Fu now banned for life…just kidding:
and now 2015 SJHT Bass Classic Champion:
Stewarts Lake & Carnegie Lake
Jackson weighed in a total of 6 Bass going 11.58lbs.

Summary: In what has been one of our most dominating, single angler, record breaker, check cashing, Lunker Slaying, and history observation in our clubs existance, my congrats goes out to the man nick named “Silent Assassin” because you know sooner or later he’ll be coming to the scales with SOMETHING!! It’s not how you start but how you finish and yes my friends he starting back in March 2015 and pretty much flexed his talents on the water each and every weekend. Fellow anglers actually raised their game by catching heavier total weight bags and improved on the number of Bass weigh in. Although Points sheet may depict dominance by one angler, overall as a group many anglers have improved and stayed consistent pretty much over the last 3 years. See SJHT previous years standings. It is my belief that SJHT anglers truly were honored to come out and battle over the course of our 17 Tournament season. I'm truly honored and fortunate to have a great group of men who get along, communicate amongst one another, share tips and techniques in the meaning of bettering the club, and last but not least enjoy the sport of Bass Fishing for what it is. At the end of the day, it's nice to win and take home a $$$ prize and\or some hardware, but one can never take away the commaradie we share on and off the water, along with the memories that will last a life time. Carnegie Lake was the deciding body of water that ultimately determined who would be this year’s 2015 SJHT Classic Champion. I salute all anglers that came to do battle and challenge for the ultimate conversation piece that one could hold.

Great report Nasty. Thank you for all the hard work you do to make this club what it is.
Congrats on the win Jackson! That was definitely the way to end an incredible season and I mentioned at the weigh in was only fitting. All though I hate losing to you all the time (or anyone for that matter) there is no doubt you force the rest of us to step up our game as Nasty mentioned. I look forward to another shot in 2016, Champ!
Congrats to Jackson on everything, if u ever need a random 4lber see this guy, I've been on the good and bad side of it lol. This ended up being one of the best classics since I've been in the club, with top 3 within half a pound of each other. Good job to white mike on his performance, thought I might be able to squeak it out but i knew it was gonna be close, sucks everyone was crowding the weigh in boat when my fish were being weighed or I would've had a bigger bag..
I knew coming in with 2 fish day one was gonna hurt in the end, but can't I say that cause if I didn't lose my 1st keeper i probably wouldn't have caught the other 2 chunks. It was a fun weekend.
Thanks again to rob for stepping up and being tournament director this year, being td sucks, I know lol. Any time there's a conflict there's always 3 sides, if there's ever something to be voted on it'll be a dead tie, u get the picture. This year went smooth as could be (though I still upset I missed the swedes t )
And BN what can I say, in the 5 years I've been around in this bass fishing world, I've talked to a lot of people from other clubs, ran a bunch of opens, and ran another club. There's no club out there that has a commander in chief quite like BN. Just everything from dealing with all the loose ends of the club, the reports, the sjbca portion, the outstanding awards at the ekes of every year, going above and beyond for our union open, and doing it regardless if someone's there to help or not. This club is the best out there. Thanks for everything BN. Let us know when the SJHT winter league schedule is out "2nd place is just the first loser"
Congrats to everyone! Jackson that was def a very impressive year for you all around and congrats to you!!! I just wanted to say thank yall for all the knowledge and good times! I wish yall the best of luck with the upcoming years because i will be moving back to the great state of florida! were the bass are plenty! now with that said is there nothing for rookie of the year?

Yes...the Leprechan has a pot of Gold for you at the end of the Rainbow. LOL!!!
Of course Derrick, Everyone can attest to the fact that I had your 2015 Rookie of the Year award and certificate in hand. We'll have to coordinate a good meet up time to exchange the hardware. Let me know as I may come up to McQuire\Dix\Lakehurst base or be somewhere in between.
BTW.. Congrats goes out to you, Gary and Slim Shady for at least battling for a portion of the season. You are the 2015 SJHT Rookie of the Year. Sorry for not mentioning it earlier but in between the pictures and posting, I lost track a bit. LOL!!!
Also...once you get established for your next rotation down in Florida, send me\us your address as I visit the SOCOM area from time to time.

I almost like that remark....but then again he helped me win this years 2015 Tag Team Title at Cooper River......so I guess I can't bust his balls too much. LOL!!!

Thanks Dan. Greatly appreciate the remarks.
Since you've been with us, I've seen you grow tremendously. Almost like watching your younger brother grow up right in front of you and then surpassing you. Time on the water and fishing with others is definitely important.
I can't stress enough that everyone has a gift. Whether it be fishing, working with developmentally challenged kids, taking care of a parent or love one, or even being a great listner. You guys have a gift and a skill set that should be shared\passed down to others that watch and observe you from land and afar. Don't limit your growth with just the here and now, but look beyond that and offer your time and fun fishing to those who wish they could be in our position week in and week out.
That's how I came to SJ Hook One and look forward to doing more and more. The Final weigh in was exciting because Rabbit's are always being pulled out of No Where! In Jackson's case, he must have them on Speed Dial or something. What can one say? AWESOME!!
Next up is some boat maintanance along with some possible TM upgrades and Can't forget picking this years 2015 SJBCA Bass Bowl team. More to come on that.

Thanks Dan...It was a learning experience for sure and I appreciate everybody's patience with me learning on the spot in some cases. As one could see with the lunker re-weighing mistake this weekend i still have some learning to go. Any how, glad I could help out.
Thanks BN for another great year. all your efforts toward the club and its members cant even be described in words. I truly think this is one of the best clubs in SJ, and im glad i made the decesion to get back into fishing 3 years ago.
@Jackson - your performance truly is amazing, weekend in and weekend out, you have these fish figured out in a big way and the results are proof of that, consistency is the most important thing in this sport and it seems you have it down pat
I was close to walking away with the belt on Sunday, but I have to be honest, im not very happy with my performance, there was a lot of room for improvement on both days. I had my limit in the boat on Day 2 by 12 o clock which was a decent bag, but I knew it just wasnt enough, I knew Jackson was going to come in with a good bag, which he did, because he knows the place damn well. I have no idea what I lost in the morning, but it was pretty damn big, the fish bit, i swung the rod sideways set the hook, it took some drag and headed out toward the middle all within 1-2 seconds, it happened so fast, the fish mustve had some dman shoulders, I kept telling myself i foul hooked a carp all day to say positive. I had 3-1/2 hours to get 1 more decent upgrade on my smaller fish and it didnt happen. I made a few adjustments, but nothing major, but if I could get those 3 hours back, I mightve tried some new water that I hadn't hit all day or just completely abandoned what I was doing and tried something else. But I figured id fish my stretch throroughly insetad of wasting time on the trolling motor etc. When we were coming into the ramp I spoke with Jackson, we said we both had 3 fish, I asked him "Are they the right ones?" his smile and nodding of his head was enough for me. I failed to get my upgrade and I knew he had one or two fish that were gonna put him over the top. I knew he was walking away with the belt. Gut feelings I guess you could call it.
@Dan - way to fish man, you mustve felt real nice going into day 2 with the lead, way to compete and stay up top
All in all I had a fun year, thanks for everyone for making the club so special. I think we have a great group of guys and im looking forward to next year
A special thanks to BN for making and keeping this club superior to all! As every angler stated in previous posts, everything said is of no value unless it is meant from the heart and that is where every statement made came from all of us. From your attending meetings at SJBCA to your early morning jokes, at the start of our tournaments, everyone seems delighted to be there, and for good reason! One thing I have to say BN, next year you can blow the start whistle one minute, two minutes or even 5 minutes before our actual start time LOL!!! The guys want to fish NOW!!!LOL. Thanks again BN for all you do for this #1 Club!! And Rob, you did an outstanding job as TD, from being there in your pj's to collect money to checking livewells, conducting weight in's etc. Every tourn ran smooth with no real major glitches. Thanks again. And a BIG congrats to FU man! One hell of a year again! I can't believe you when you say it is all luck. Luck comes once in a while, Your luck never seems to run out. We all must say and myself included what does he do? What does he know? Hey what ever it is keep on doing it! Thanks for sharing and answering my occasional questions. Alot of my friends say you must hate this guy for winning most of the time, but I say honestly I admire him, he is an exceptional angler and you can't take that away from him!! And last but not least thanks to all SJHT members for helping hands, laughs, morning chats, etc. I am glad to be part of this family!!!
Thanks everyone! What can I say that wasnt mentioned already? This is hands down the best club in Jersey. BNs dedication is unmatched. Big thanks to Rob for doing the grunt work...dont let Bob push you around lol. Thanks to Den and troop for helping with launches, it didnt go unnoticed.
Mike and Dan definitely made it interesting. Very exciting finish. I have to say, it has been a long time since I have been excited to catch a fish. When I got that 4 pounder into the boat, my hands where shaking. I havent felt that since the classic at Newton.
The club is nothing without its members, congrats to everyone for heck of a season!
