While everyone else was still wiping the sleep out of there eyes, SJHT and there guest (Tboe) took in this gorgeous Mirror Lake sun rise.

Although the weathermen called for hit or miss rain showers, none of the rain traveled up towards Mirror Lake.

As SJHT anglers near there last regular club season tournament of the year, our 2012 AOY race is almost all wrapped up. Unless some lucky SJHT angler pulls in the next NJ State Largemouth\Smallmouth Bass at D.O.D. Lake, then it's pretty safe to say that current VP Jay *SmellyHooker* N. will capture his 1st AOY Title and with a point lead well over 31.25 points

With that said, this season has been been filled with alot of excitement, surprises, and WTF moments! LOL!! Before I diverge, let me get to the business at hand.

Over this past weekend, SJHT held there 14th regular club tournament of the 2012 at Mirror Lake. We had 14 members and 1 honaray guest come out to partake in the fun. There were 30 LMB caught giving way to a total weight of 32.53lbs. That gave an avg. weight of a measley 1.08lbs per Bass. . There were 7 Limits caught. 14 out of 15 anglers caught at least 1 Bass.

Anglers reported catching tons and tons of dinks in the 11"~ 11.75" category. None really great to write home about unless your Rookie member Jim T.

Without further adieu and BS, lets give a big congrats to current 2nd place angler (in the AOY race) Jimbo taking 1st place with 3 Bass going a whopping 3.79lbs. 2nd Place was won by Bill *The Hammer* L. with 3 Bass going 3.60lbs. 3rd Place waS narrowly won by 2011 Classic Champion Jackson F. with 3 Bass going 3.48lbs Men....Congrats on bringing something weighable to the scales and reaching your Bass limit.

All in all, there were alot of Bass, pickeral, and whatever other species caught yesterday. There was definitely an early morning bite as many anglers stated that case. Once the sun got good and bright over head, the bite along with any other quality catches were very limited. I had 3 keepers in the boat before 10am but trying to upgrade or finding that kicker bass proved very elusive. Most of my activity came from near\slightly off of the lilly pads and up tight near shoreline. There was the occassional snatch and grab off of sunken wood structures but the real action came very suddle from some unsuspecting areas. No nibbles out in dead center. Mirror lake can be very humbling but like anybody of water, one must put in there time on the water in order to be successful. Congrats to all and lets close out the regular club season with some "Live Action" crab catching, bass catching, and turtle action over at D.O.D. Lake.

Like we began the day, this is Why.... we do...What we do!!!

Thanks Den!
I don't know what BN was talking about, but I had a late bite on the crankbait that boated me 2 "better" keepers, later in the day! I caught plenty of fish mostly just in front of pads. The DS did bring in my best fish though...
Sorry I dropped the ball on the pickral pool. I had 3 nice pics and one that broke me off.
Jimbo
