Hey guys I know I haven't been on here in a while since I've been getting my future plans ready for my life outside of high school. My Youth Group trip took a trip to Rockbridge camp in Goshen VA where I decided I need a little break from the stress of all the hard work of planning with my future. It had a pool, mountain biking and of coarse a Lake. As any fisherman would do, I brought a fishing rod with me to fish there. Here's a look at the lake from my cabin.
I didn't get to start fishing till the 4th day of 6 because of all the fun I was doing. I went out to the lake early on the 4th day and within my first 10 cast, I got a nice solid keeper.
I got two shorts after that, then it was time for breakfast. The next day I go to a different spot where a staff members said people had a lot of luck so I do and miss one right away. I stayed there a little while and saw a school of sunfish on top of the water. I casted it over there and landed a nice 2lb bass, then later caught another 2lb bass, Here's the pictures
After catching a lot more dinks when going out after that... I decided to go out around 7 before Club and try again. The Gloucester County Group was taking pictures by the lake after I got in all they needed me to get in I took off to get my fishing in. I cast it out there and catch probably my biggest fish of the week in front of my Gloucester County group where they took a pic of it for me.
I go out the next morning... The last morning of my trip there and on my first cast I catch one. I felt it being like a small one. Then when it came to the surface I knew it wasnt a bass by it's color. I was a sunny, A sunny on a grub. It was a decent sized sunny so I took a pic of it
The trip was getting close to being over and I wanted my last cast, my last fish to be memorible so I went out around 4PM and on my 3rd cast I got one, Nice One. I reel it in another 2lb bass. I couldn't get a good enough picture of it so I asked this girl getting of the zip line to take a pic of me holding it. She asked it she could touch it and I said yeah because I know a lot of girls in NJ don't like to and this is the first time I met a girl that would at least touch a fish lol. She took a pic of it and my last fish was a memorible one. It was a great trip.
Nice hearing from you Justin! Way to get a few in you spare time! Dad had some real nice fish last week at Assunpink. Good luck as you enter the real world! Study hard and success will follow!
