My bud has been telling me all week that we gotta' go surf fishing for stripers on friday. I meet him at his spot around 2:00. He says high tide is at 3:00 and when it turns we should be good to go. About 3:45 the tide starts moving out and we pick up a nice short about 23". Pickup another short and the the first keeper of the year at 29". About another hour passes with a couple more shorts and the 2nd keeper hits the beach. Fatty at 34 1/2" and 22" girth. We pick pickup a few more shorts and the action shuts down about 6:00pm. My first keeper stripers ever.
Maybe this will be the beginning of something for the weekend!
