This is just a save the date for those interested in volunteering, visiting, reserving a vendors table, or just coming out in support of the South Jersey Bass Club Association Annual Fishermen's Flee Market.
Date: Sat. March 05, 2011
Place: Millville, NJ Elks Club
Time: 8:30am-2pm
Vendors: Over 43 and counting as of Tuesday. March 01, 2011
In years past, I've normally volunteered my time and service to perform guard\door duty (which is right next to the area where 2 seminars will be presented). Basically, I would make sure vendors\customers entering had there hands already stamped and\or redirecting those consumers towards the front entrance where there entry fee would be collected. Volunteers along with the club will of course have "Free" Entry and access to vendors before the doors even open to the "General Public". Volunteers\SJBCA Club affiliates will recieve 1 point towards the SJBCA member jacket.
Here's a message from BigFred, President of the SJBCA:
Guys,
This is a reminder that the South Jersey Bass Club Association's annual Fishermen's Flea Market is scheduled for this Saturday, March 5, at the Millville Elks Lodge on Broad St/Mays Landing Road from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm. We need your support, either as customers (only $2.00 admission/donation) or as volunteers. Volunteers who work the whole day at the event earn a "participation point" towards an SJBCA jacket. If your club would like to distribute flyers for recruiting new members or entry forms for your open buddy tournaments, we will have a "freebie table" near the flea market entrance for this purpose. All of the details, directions & updated list of vendors for the flea market can be found at www.sjbca.org/fle... .
The NJ Division of Fish & Wildlife and Atlantic County Parks are holding a project to place more artificial fish habitat structures in Lake Lenape (Mays Landing) on Friday, March 18. (I don't have the start time for the project yet.) They're looking for about a half dozen volunteers to help out with the project (staging materials & loading them onto a pontoon boat for placement). If you're interested in volunteering, you can contact Chris Smith at .
As always, upcoming events of interest to South Jersey bass fisherman can be found on the SJBCA website at www.sjbca.org/eve... and news items can be found at www.sjbca.org/new...
Thanks.

If interested, email BigFred at and let me know so that I can make sure SJHT gets counted. Unfortunately, due to my son's B-Ball schedule, this will be one of the few years that I've miss since being in SJHT. It would be nice have "Others" volunteer there time or take time out and visit this annual Flea market event.
