Good morning fellow SJHT members and guest. I hope everyone is preparing for the early warm temps and spring-like forcast coming in the next 2 days!! I know I am!!
I just wanted to update old and potential new members on last nights SJBCA monthly 3rd Wednesday of every month meeting. This meeting was held at the BRRC ClubHouse located over in Barrington, NJ. Russ Anoe and his club members graciously hosted 17 club members from the SJBCA. It was a great turnout and SJBCA echo the gracious invite.
At last nights meeting, guest speaker Roy Abbate of "Batteries Plus" located at 1215 Rt. 73 N, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054, gave a presentation on the Good and bad facts on regular Marine acid\water batteries, AGM's, and GEL batteries. A pamphlet on Marine\RV battery care & Maintenance were given out along with information on there store brand "Extreme Marine Batteries". Roy, stated that starting March 1-31, his store will be running a special for SJBCA affiliated club members where you get $10.00 off a battery along with getting a $10.00 off Mail in Rebate. Since many Bass Fishing Clubs kick off there season opener during the latter part of March, this might be a good time to replace\upgrade your existing batteries. Mr. Roy Abbate answered and filled questions from the audience. He also discussed the pros and cons with charging via onboard chargers with and without a trickle-cell cycle.
I was also briefed on new and old SJBCA business. Below you will find the SJBCA officers and Bass clubs in attendance.
