Congrats to this year's 2025 SJHT Union Lake Open Bass Buddy Tournament Winners. (Front L to R): 2nd Place Winners Greg & Andrea Zinni; 1st Place Team Josh & Jay Burger; 3rd Place Team Howard Brown & Jeff Davis
Greetings,
Fellow SJHT members. As we approach our end of the official season Bass Classic Tournament A.K.A. our "SuperBowl", I just wanted to send out my thanks along with Jay's in regard to making this season quite interesting and enjoyable. Typically, alot of us tend to focus on the NFL and NCAA College Football games this time of the year. Let's not forget those Philadelphia Phillies kicking some major booty coming down the home-stretch.
Our Bass Classic recognizes those who have gone out there way, both professionally, medically, competitively, in bereavement, and the most importantly scheduling quality family time in attending the mandatory mininum 6 Tournaments during the regular club season. Kudos to you all for participating in anyway you can. This should be a fun event where every angler should be swinging for the fences. Like last year, it's a winner takes all event. Regardless if one is only able to fish Day 1 vs. Day 2, the tournament fee will be $30 per angler. This will include a Lunker pay-out for each day with the rest going to the eventual 2010 SJHT Bass Classic Champion.
Immediately following the Day 2 Tournament at Cooper River Park, we will hold our Award Presentation ceremonies, Where the 2010 AOY, 2nd-6th Place, 2010 Lunker of Year, 2010 Most Improved Angler, 2010 Rookie of the Year; 2010 Rookie of Year Runner-Up; 2010 SJHT Bass Classic Champ; 2010 Iron-Men; and certificates are bestowed along with some other surprises!
Word on the street is that the weathermen are forcasting somewhat rainy conditions some tiime on Sunday. Hopefully that won't be the case, but whatever the conditions, I would like for those there at the end to pose for our annual 2010 SJHT Group photo with awards in hand.
I'm hoping to have some beverages on-hand afterwards, but we'll see. Members feel free to stick around for a bit and maybe discuss future possible events (i.e. Bass Bowl, 2011 Lake Schedule, updating Club Rules\Requirements, # of Tournaments for 2011, Expiring 3 yr. SJHT Official Term Limits and possible New candidate selections (Myself (Pres./Secretary), Jay (VP), Moe (Tourny Dir.), and John N. (Weigh Masters) and etc.)
Note: These are just ideas that all should be thinking about. I always have said it takes more than 1 person to make a Great Club. Everyone has an open mic to discuss issues or concerns. If a separate meeting needs to be held outside of any discussion on the last Day 2.....then so be it.
Looking forward to this weekend and Good luck to everyone participating.
