Alright here we go. All prepared for day of off and on again rain-storms (which mind you..never even occured), anglers came out bright and early. 3 boaters decided to fish the Game Creek side while the rest of the field launched on the Canal side. This turned out to be key as the eventual days winner fished both sides. Damn.. I think I heard this same story from a guy who goes by NJBassman!!! Umm?
As anglers put in there boats, word on the street was that the Jiggen Man wanted in on the action. With shoulder\arm still somewhat not fully healed, Jiggen Den showed up on the seen and said itches better have MY Money!!! and preceded to fish entirely by flipping his mighty jig into the slob and grassy areas.
When word got out, All Elmo dolls and action figures disappeared!!! LOL!! Game was on!! Launching at the split, most of the Canal angers went right up towards Dupont while I believe a handfull went left towards the Sportsmens club. Anglers reported catching small dinks while some were culling before 8am!! WTF!!!
I could go on and on about my technical trolling motor issues, but without further adieu, give a big shout out and welcome back to the Jiggen Man on capturing 1st place with 3 Bass weighing 6.26lbs. 2nd Place was won by new SJHT Rookie Chris Palmer with 3 Bass weighing 4.82lbs. Third place and Lunker by Tickle Me Tboe with 2 Bass weighing 4.51lbs... Lunker went 2.81lbs!!! Congratulations Men and way to fish litterally with 1 Arm Dennis!!

So as one can see, 4 out of 17 anglers had limits today. 12 out of 17 anglers actually caught keepers. Nothing Gigantic but hey at least we learned another thing or 2 about the canal. The morning bite was definitely up in the pads. As time went by, the bass seemed to be concentrating in between the pads and the various patches of grassy areas. While some did catch there keepers next to some wood, it seams that many were caught in between slight impressions in the contour of the Canal itself. I personally witnessed 5lb~6lber's leaping out the water slamming the small Shad all day. This as totally unreal as I could not believe my eyes!! I almost fell out the boat watching this occur right in front of me. I can't say I've seen that before on the Canal. There are definitely some very healthy fish on this body of water...but you guys\gals already knew that!! There was a total of 24 Bass caught today.
Next week is the battle of the Romans at Stone Tavern!! Way to place in the money Chris Palmer and nice showing Kyle Serduk.
Tightlines,

I'll bet anyone here that my fish up there was the lastest fish caught. I caught that one with 2 minutes left in the tournament. Half the boats on that side were out of the water. I'm surprized No one can hear my Never Give Up on the otherside of the lake. My dad and Brian are wtnesses on my Never Give Up
