Welcome to Event#14 at the CONOWINGO DAM.

Today, another 9 determined SJHT anglers came out to battle the Conowingo River where smallies are typically plentiful, catfish can be caught on every other cast, and where Largemouth Bass also roam the waterways. Eager to be back on the water, I was super excited to just be back on the water. Little did I know it was going to be a BRUTAL Day getting a bite or even a Miscellaneous in the boat. It was so tough out there for everyone that nearly half of the field bailed before 12:30pm.
I actually took a mini nap due to working on only 3 hours sleep.

Without further adieu, please give a big congrats to Mike *The Boogey Man* Del Monico on his 2nd consecutive week of winning who took 1st and Lunker by weighing in 3 Bass weighing 7.80lbs after a dead fish penalty. Mike's Lunker went a nice 3.55lbs. 2nd Place was won by Matt *Done for the Season...because of kids soccer* Renschler with 1 bass going 2.23lbs. 3rd Place was won by Brian *1 Bite All Day* McCulley with 1 Bass going 2.22lbs. Misc. was also won by Rob Masterson with 1 Catfish going 2.70lbs.

Summary: Where should I start? Conowingo literally kick our Arse! Enough Said! Boy oh boy! In the first hour, I caught 2 dinks, 1 keeper smallie, and later added a small mean mouth.
Barely any other bites....other than the ones that ran me into the submerged wood over near the 1 Hole. Other anglers reported absolutly no bites....while the Boogey Man caught a fricking Limit. Go Figure. I guess timing and placement were key for Mike as he was truly the only one catching them.

In All, 4 out of 9 SJHT Anglers caught at least 1 Bass. There were only 6 Bass caught overall. THE CONOWINGO gave way to total of 12.71lbs caught overall after the 2 dead Bass penalty's. The avg. weight was 2.12lbs

Overall.... only 1 Angler caught there 3 Bass Limit. While the remaining catchers only equalled his limit combined.

Congrats to Mike, Matt, Brian, and Rob on your performances.

Next up is STONE TAVERN next week.

Tightlines,
BN06
