Welcome to SJHT's 5th event of the 2026 season. 5 dedicated SJHT anglers ventured out of state to fish LUMS SP, down in Bear, DE. On a day that was forecasted to windy and rainy throughout, we lucked out and only had to deal with the blustery wind at times. No rain at all. With the approaching rain and cold fronts, we didn't know how the bass would react. Fortunately for us, we still caught them.
Let's Go!
Please give a big congrats to Rob *Never Give Up* Masterson on taking 1st place with 3 Bass going 6.49lbs. Second place was won by Andrew *Trapper* Trapani with 2 Bass going 6.40lbs. 3rd Place was won by Dennis *Jiggen Den* Tolentino with 3 Bass going 5.90lbs. Lunker and MISC was won by BN06 with his Lunker going 3.96lbs. His MISC Crappie went a nice 1.20lbs.

Nothing like treating one self at Big John's BBQ right down the road from LUMS SP
Summary: Anglers caught Bass. They lost some good ones next to the boat. Anglers also reported culling a few times. So in a nutshell, LUMS SP and the fishing in this region has seemed pretty good. We had the Pond pretty much to ourselves and didn't have to worry about other competing clubs.
The weather was always in the backs of our minds, but that didn't materiialize. Rain held off till our travels back to New Jersey.
So this week, we had 11 keeper size bass weighed in. The total weight of all bass was 25.39lbs. That gave way to an avg. of 2.31lbs. 5 out 5 anglers caught at least 1 Bass. LUMS SP Appeared very calm Iin the beginning but became slighly breezy as the day went on.
Congrats to Rob Masteron, Andy Trapani, Dennis Tolentino, and BN06 on your performances.
