Summary: SJHT regular 2025 season is now complete. Next up in 2 weeks is our end of season Bass Classic where those that qualified fish at Day 1: Assunpink Lake and Day 2: Salem Canal. This season has seen it's ups and downs both personally and as an organization. In light of the current climate within our boarders and political uneasiness, we, as anglers and humans beings still do what we love regardless of which side your leaning on. Fishing for most and myself, is a hobby, a sport, which allows an outlet from the everyday stressors. Like many other organizations which has seen a decline in member participation, I'm not sure where this will all end but lets make the best of it while we're still here. New 2026 Memberships are being accepted starting today.
So this week, we had 10 keeper size bass weighed in. The total weight of all bass was 12.59lbs. That gave way to an avg. of 1.26lbs. 5 out 7 anglers caught at least 1 Bass. There were 1 limit weighed in. D.O.D was very stingy today. Getting a nibble proved tough for most anglers. There were some huge bass lost next to the side of the boat according to Rob and others, but overall trying to get any bites was very tough.
Congrats to Rob Masterson, Jiggen Den, Bill Leach, and BN06 on your performances.
Next up is our 2 Day Bass Classic in 2 weeks at Assunpink Lake and Salem Canal.
