Summary: Overall many anglers caught Bass but finding and not losing those kicker fish seemed to be a problem. Many anglers reported losing giants while some reported once that sun got up and high with barely any wind, it became tougher. According to some, Union Lake has been fishing slow and tough this year. Well most said this was the most and best action they've had this year here. The waters Temps were in the low 80's with mild visibility. Fish were caught all throughout the day. We only had 1 fish fatality today thanks to our Oxygenated livewell tanks working overtime. Great job anglers taking care of your fish today. There were a total 55 largemouth and 2 smallmouth Bass weighed in at 119.51lbs. This avg. out to 2.10lbs per bass. There 6 limits caught today. 16 out of 24 teams weighed at least 1 bass. 8 boaters did not weigh-in. Some bass were released before weighing in.
Thank you to all who took time out/from there 4th of July weekend celebration to come out and continue support SJHT in there 21st Annual event.
Special Thanks goes to my trusty and supportive staff Scott Schappell, Joe Reed, Bill L Janeen Leach and Jiggen Den for coming out and backing me up. Couldn't do this without you guys.
Tightlines,

Looks like it was a successful weekend. Great job Rashawn and his helpers.!!
Scooter,
It was a fantastic weekend putting this event on. Although the Weather was scorching Hot and the humidity was high, the afternoon forecasted storms held off and most anglers stayed till the end and broke bread with us with the food and beverages we had prepared. Along with the cold, sweet fruit and snack table.
I should be back on the water this coming Saturday for Salem Canal.
