Can't ask for a better day to be on the water. Great weather, Great friends and anglers. Great Time had by all.
Today, SJHT had 14 anglers came out to battle the long and at times tough CARNEGIE Lake Largemouth
For some the bites started out fast and furious and then as the day went along, it somewhat died down for some. Some anglers had limits by 7:30am while others struggled to even get a bite. There were a lot of sub 12" Bass caught along with yellow perch. My keeper bites didn't occur till the last 45 mins of the tournament.
Without further adieu, please give a big congrats and shout outs to Jackson *The Assassin* Fu. for 1st place with 3 Bass going 9.53lbs. Mike White took 2nd Place and Lunker with 3 Bass going 8.70lbs. His lunker went an impressive 4.78lbs. 3rd Place was won by Wayne *Moe* N. with 3 Bass going 5.92lbs. MISCELLENOUS was won by John P. with a Tiny Pickeral tipping the scales at .55lbs.

Summary: Carnegie Lake once again proved that from the dinks to the 3+ ~ 4lbers are definitely present in this body of water. The long and winding waterway produced at various times of the day. As the day went on...for me the bites got better but it was after sticking to the primary lure once I figured out there suttle and ever so light pick ups. The last 45minutes of the Tournament produced my keepers. Although the wind breeze did pick up during this period, it was the patience and willingness to allow them to see this lure.
In All, 13 out of 14 SJHT Anglers caught at least 1 Bass. There were a total of 27 Bass caught overall. Dramatically up from last week. These Bass gave way to a total of 52.11lbs caught overall. The avg. weight came out to be 1.93lbs. 5 Anglers caught at least there 3 Bass Limit.
Way to fish tough SJHT anglers. Jackson, Mike, and Moe. John P. way to take the Misc.

Jiggin Den
Jiggen Den..... Moe was on fire! He had his limit by 7:30am. For the record, you guys never sucked. LOL!!! Between the early year Cold Temperatures and freezing our hands off till after the NJ Bass Spawning season, we're just late developers. LOL!!! Moe had some solid avg. 2lbers....and he didn't have to venture far to get them.
Sidenote: I wonder what are the regulations for scullers rowing outside of the lane markers when there's only 1 rower onboard? If there is any? I may have to bring this up at a future SJBCA meeting.
