 | Congrats! Kyle, Jackson and Kerry. way to go guys. I could not buy a bite! and i threw everything at them. I figured the bass were gorged on all the bluegills that were literally everywhere just under the surface. That is a real nice bag Kyle, I guess you knew exactly where you were going when you took off like a bat outta hell! LOL I was behind you, but stopped just short of the sportsman's club and decided to fish there for a bit. I am still smh. I never had a day like that on the canal. Not one pickup, bite nothing!!!! Sorry I had to leave before the weigh-in but had to go to a party.

 | Congrats Kyle, Jackson, and Kerry. One helluva 3 fish Jersey bag Kyle. I had 4 bites all day. Got 3 of them and 1 was a short. Bug shout out to Bob VS for the jumper cables. I don't know why my starting battery died. It said it was fully charged. I'll have to monitor it I guess.
 Once again good job Kyle

LOL. I don't know what happened. It was starting fine all morning and then all of a sudden it was dead. Only thing I can think of was I left the bilge pump running by accident. It may have been running for like 2 hours.

 | Troop, Yeah....but I thought it didn't rain. Would have probably heard the bilge running. Def. Have to test and look into.

Alright...lets here some patterns. What was the water temps, water clarity like, wood or no wood? Water level? And water being drawn?

Kyle/Jackson. ..was the bite and action good early on or did it turn on later in AM?

Anybody venture over towards the old ramp?

 Thanks in advance

 | The water was very high and pulling current all day. Temps 75-80. Pretty consistent bite, but never came across any flats bass. |

 | Thanks everyone. That was the best day I've ever had on the canal number and size wise. There are no secrets on the canal so I'll spill the beans about how and where I caught my fish. Started off somewhere past the sportsman's club throwing a buzzbait. No bites in 30 minutes so I started flipping some pads and caught the smaller of the two fish I'm holding in the pic, about 4lbs. As soon as my brother puts down the net he flips in the exact same spot and catches his first keeper. No more notes for the next 15 minutes so we move a couple hundred yards up to some nice looking laydowns and start flipping and buzzbaiting. I saw a little baitfish break the surface and threw the buzzbait past it and hooked up into my lunker. It literally didn't even break the surface, it just sucked the buzzbait under. So by 7am I had two fish for about 9lbs and I was excited to say the least. Myself or my brother didn't get bit for like the next 2 hours or so until the sun really came out. Then it was on. I proceeded to literally catch a bass about every 10-15 minutes. The problem was that they were all between 11"-13" lol. My brother got on them good too, filling out his limit within 20 minutes of the sun coming out. Total I'd say I caught 16-20 fish with all but a few being keepers (just really small keepers lol). My brother probably caught about 10-12 fish with about half being keepers (small ones too lol). Anyone that knows me knows what bait I flip with. As for my brother, he was using something complely different and its not my place to say what he was using. And jiggin Den, no we didn't catch anything on crankbaits, but then again we didn't use any. One thing I did notice was that we didn't get any bites anywhere there was that floating green, scum/little dots? |

 | BN...No rain, I just turned it on because I made a couple of quick stops and had water come over the transom. I found pretty much what Jackson said. I caught my 2 and missed 1 all in a small stretch around 10am. I tried the old ramp because I had success there at other times, but nothing. The water was ripping through there. There was no way anyone was getting to Game Creek because there was only about 6" between the 40 overpass and the water. Den I tried cranking a couple times but not a sniff. |

 | Thanks guys, Kyle I was throwing a frog first thing in the morning for about 1/2 hour. Only thing I was throwing mostly where you said you didn't get bit around those friggin little green dots!LOL I think its called duck weed! not sure. BN yes I too went to the old ramp fished for about 1/2 hour and left without a bite. like troop said water was moving!!! Even thought I did not have a bite the Canal is still my favorite place to fish!!!
