Man...Oh Man! You know it takes a lot to get underneath me skin en-light of being able to get out on the water and sharing a ride with Jiggen Den but here is how the day went.

 WHAMMO!!!!

Them folks nor had any boat\ramp etiquette but after the first pick-up cut through and went past the rest, Ranger Joe had to step in before I totally lost it. Good job guys!!!

Apparently the water level and water route taken was impassible as many of these enthusiast launched from there camp ground sites.

$100 to the first person seeing the problem and doing something about it. LOL!!!

Now back to the real reality. Lake Lenape is like the dead sea. Period!

I'm not going to bore you with any in depth details or woulda-coulda-shoulda's as the Tale of the Tape says it all.

Without further adieu, please give a big congrats to SJHT Angler Kyle *WallHanger* S. for taking 1st place and Lunker with 1 Bass going 3.67lbs. Brian *SubFish* M. took 2nd place with 1 Bass going 1.91lbs. Third place was won by Wayne *Moe* Sr. with 1 Bass going 1.25lbs

On Saturday, SJHT had 14 anglers come out for some good old SJ Bass Fishing. What we got was a Rope A Dope!!!! Quite literally!

There were 0 Limits brought to the scales.. 4 out of 12 anglers weighed at least 1 Bass. There were a total of 4 Bass weighed in totalling 7.64 lbs. That gave way to avg. bass weight of 1.91lbs.

Way to hit them in the head men on another tough day.

So in summary, Kyle continues to master Lake Lenape with Keeper bass. Anglers were left scratching there heads. With the 10-15 degree water temperature drop since Monday, there was a bit Shad\fish kill, the bass were very uncooperative. I mean even a dink would have been welcome today but for most, it did not happen. The water current was flowing pretty steady in the Northern part of the lake. Some tried to venture Northern but reports were that nothing was happening. Trying to regain some of the magic, anglers were seen running and gunning hard towards key fishing holding points and previously successful spots. Nada Homie!!! The bass must have gone on vacation as there were many empty living quarters.

Congrats again to Kyle and Brian M., and Moe in figuring them out. Way to go Jiggen Den on the estimated 1.01lb pickerel pot winner

See you all next week for our next Club Tournament at Rainbow Lake .

 | Tough indeed! Me and BN went from spot to spot and could not find a bass! I had one pick up on a jig, but I think it was something small like a bluegill or a crappie. I did catch a slab crappie on a frog! go figure!!! and my pickerel came on a chatterbait. At the end of the day BN had a hit and came back with the tail missing off his ribbed worm. Congrats to all who caught a fish!! Oh well always a pleasure fishing with BN, and thanks again for having me as a rider, and for putting me on that pickerel!!! LOL

Always good Jiggen Den sharing the yacht with you.
Yeah...that crappie on that frog was pretty cool. Too bad it was not a bass. and just think...you wanted to throw that pickeral back in the tank.
I'm hoping the bite at Rainbow will be much better.

As the season draws to a close, I'm figuring the NorthEast Tournament scheduled for Sat. Sept. 6 may\will determine the 2014 AOY Champion. For those interested or thinking about coming out for that event, I'm also contemplating having a little gathering over at the Naughty goose salon\restaurant for some pizza, wings, and beverages after our Tournament. I know after a long\possibly tough day, many guys probably would want to hit the roadway to come home, but I thought I would throw it out there.

So, Who plans on fishing the last regular season tournament? and would you be interested in venturing over to the Naughty Goose for food and beverages?

Think about it and reply back here.

 | Congrats to all who got bit. Very tough day. I tried the creek in the morning but the water was rushing to hard. Than I tried mid lake with nothing to show but a catfish. Than I tried deep by the damn. Than I ran back to the creek but there where to many kayakers to really fish it. Than I deep cranked the ramp cove for an hour. Finally I tried the first cove across from the light house and caught a short. |

 | Nice report Jackson, you and i were in all the same spots through out the day and i had the same results pretty much minus the cat fish. I had a short come off across from the lighthouse of the bank.
I think the plan for the tag belts is an off season event, not the flats.

No...It will be after the 2014 Classic event. Sometime in later October/Early November.

The Sat. Sept. 6 NorthEast River T. will not be a Tag Team event as I believe the angler of the year points race will be decided that day. Contenders will have enough on there plate not too mention worrying about there partner(s) catching there limits.

What are members thoughts on holding the 2014 Tag Team even on the Elk River, Lums Pond, or Spruce Run Res.?
