As SJHT moves closer to the end of there 2015 season, friends, family, and spectators ventured out to catch glimpses of the Big Girls....

But before I get to the knitty gritty of today's event, I just want to thank the SJHT anglers for coming out on another gorgeous day and battling in the blazing sun and making for a close weigh-in.

Alright here we go.

On Sunday, August 09, 2015 10 SJHT anglers came out to Stone Tavern to see how the grass and Bass Bite had been progressing. This marked our 14th event of the season.

Without further adieu, please give a big shout out to Rob *Ram1212* M. who took 1st place with 3 Bass weighing 5.78lbs. 2nd Place and Lunker was won by Bob Van S. with 3 Bass weighing 5.41lbs. His Lunker went 2.63lbs. 3rd Place was won by the FU Man with 3 Bass weighing 4.92lbs. Congrats men on figuring them out and netting your own fish! LOL!!

Summary: Stone Tavern fished the way many remembered from years past except without the Big Girls being caught. The less grass and weed growth made for a decent day casting towards the shores and especially out in the deeper holes. There were a total of 20 Bass weighed in totalling 28.75lbs. That gave way to a 1.44lb avg. catch. There were 5 Limits caught. Amazingly 9 out of 10 anglers caught at least 1 Bass.

All in All, the weather was again excellent and most anglers were getting bit quite early in the AM. Those that had limits reported culling several times throughout the day. Rob even culled again with less that 5 minutes remaining in the tournament right in front of most anglers and spectators onshore. Being his home lake, he was a rock star. LOL!!!!

In 2 Weeks, I hope to see all at Mercer County Park. Enjoy next weeks Elite Series being held down on the NorthEast River out of Anchor Marine.
