Congrats Rob she's nice

He said its possible but you need to make sure that the wall in between is not load bearing. If it is you will heave a put a new header in as well

ram1212
Thanks Brian!

Great, thanks for asking Bob. From looking at it I cant tell if it is load bearing, but the second story corner ends right in the middle of the garage where the wall it is. From what I can see it will be load bearing I am guessing.

First day with the boat and there was a foot of snow on it haha. Not really laughing though.

Decision time I guess...

Get a good quality cover. The only time mine is in the garage is in the winter I keep it at my buddies so I can work on it.

Haha, thanks Den! Actually very excited for my live well upgrade. Two separate ones which is pretty bad ass. No more dead fish for me better be the result.

Have another question for you guys....On board charger? It has one it seems. Do I just plug into the wall and it charges? Do I disconnect the batteries from everything else?

jiggin den
Do you have 3 batteries total? If so the charger should be a 3-bank charger. If the batteries are already connected say 2 batteries for the trolling motor and 1 for the cranking battery then yes you should just have to plug it in. If you have a 36 volt system 3 batteries for your trolling motor and 1 cranking battery then you should have a 4 bank charger and yes just plug in and your on board charger will charge your batteries and also will let you know when they are fully charged, and when in float mode (bringing it up to full charge) and when it is in full charging mode. Some chargers will have 3 illuminated light bars showing what mode the charger is in.

Do you have a pic? Mine is connect to the batteries. I just plug in and forget and usually drive away forgetting to in plug it lol

ram1212
Haha, that would be interesting. Some how I can see myself doing the same with it plugged in.

I only have two batteries right now, but I am going to upgrade to a 24 volt system for a new trolling motor. I have to investigate the charger a bit more. Is it possible it can only handle 2 batteries?

Thanks for the info guys. Do I need to disconnect the trolling motor from the battery to charge or can I leave everything as is?

I got the boat on Sunday and haven't looked at since really with the weather. Have a new cover coming on Monday for it so I hope to play around with it a little.

Looks like I would have to pay $2k to have the garage door widened which isn't happening right now so my play time with her is limited.

No don't disconnect the trolling motor, you just plug it in and done. I have broken at least 3 cords forgetting to unplug it LOL

If you can remember this it will save some electrical cords from being ripped out. The day before your tournament or fun fishing adventure, tape a piece of paper on your steering wheel to remind you to unplug the charger.

I will need something to remind me what the tape is for lol

Congrats on the new boat Rob. Now you're ready to hit the flats. Wait until u take it out for the first time, u will love how much faster it is and how much better it handles the waves compared to your old boat. Also when walking around on the deck it will be much more stable. What brand and size motor is on it?

white mike
Congrats on the new rig! yayyy

Congrats on the new boat Rob. Best of luck with her!!!

fishintroop
Congrats Rob. Hope you get a lot of enjoyment from her. Check your charger, and see how many leads are coming off of it. Two leads would be a 2 bank, 3 would be 3 bank, etc. Like RVS said just plug her in, and unplug her when you leave.

ram1212
Thanks fellas, very excited.

Kyle, it only has a 75HP but a big upgrade from my 25. I put all my gear in it yesterday and tossed the tackle bag. That's was great haha.
