------------------------------------------------------------
Welcome to SJHT's 7th official tournament of 2025 where 5 committed SJHT anglers came out to compete on the Sassafras River, MD. Between the torrential rains from Friday and cold front expected to hit on Saturday, the bite was on before the winds picked. Catching a 15" Bass seemed very tough as there were numerous dinks being caught along with the occasional catfish and monster snakeheads. With that being said.......
Let's Go!
Please give a big congrats to Andrew *Trapper* Trapani for taking 1st, 2nd, and Lunker as the only angler to catch a keeper size 1 Bass going 2.66bs. Bill *The Hammer* Leach caught Monsterous SnakeHead going 10.79lbs.

SASSAFRAS RIVER Launch
Summary: The Sassafras River proved to be very stingy on Saturday. Even with a 5 angler line up, we couldn't really ask for better weather and water conditions that we ran into. The water was quite clear depending on how far up the creeks one ventured. Either way, anglers had difficulty getting little nibbles. No matter how far or even out towards the mouth of the chesapeak Bay, anglers reported barely getting any nibbles.
So this week we had 1 Bass weighed in. This bass weighed in at 2.66llbs. No one else caught a weighable Bass on this day. What can I say.
Congrats to Andy Trapper Trapani and Bill Leach on your performances.
Next up is NEWTON LAKE once the NJ Closed season reopens in about a month.
