As the song "Ring my bell....(Long pause).........Ring my Bell....my Bell ringer a ding ding" go!!!! That's how we felt as SJHT anglers ventured to the great state of Delaware.
Round 6 of our 2017 season allowed us to visit LUMS Pond located down in Bear, DE This place has always been special and dear to many anglers hearts as the Big Girls tend to show themselves whenever we visit.
Now that the NJ BASS season is officially closed to tournament style events\weigh ins, 21 of SJHT finest traveled down to LUMS Pond, Delaware to give there all and try to make up some ground on 2017 Points Leader Big Bass Man Sam.....who I might add was present for this particular event.
Without further adieu, please give a big shout out to Kyle *WallHanger* S. for taking 1st place with 3 Bass weighing 7.03lbs. 2nd Place was won by Jackson F. with 3 Bass going 5.89lbs. 3rd Place was Trapper with 3 Bass going 5.30lbs. Overall Lunker was won by Now you see me...Now you Don't Bill *The Hammer* L. going 2.94lbs.

Summary: What can I say? Where were the Big Girls? Good question. In what can only be explained as mother nature staying in charge, the Post-Pawn conditions, Empty beds, Early lightening Storm, brief drizzle of rain, and full moon from over-night, I feel definitely played a role in the below normal bags of Bass caught this weekend. If one was to look at these Bass, they were definitely not the Mother Load that we're use to. Personally, I caught numerous sub 12" Bass but could not find anything larger than what's pictured below.
Pics from my day on the water on the boat:
14 out of 21 Anglers caught at least 1 Bass. This fisheries output nearly tripled our output from last weeks total where we caught 21 Bass today that yielded 40.54lbs in Total weight. That gave way to an avg. of 1.50lbs per Bass.
Congrats to all of the fish catchers and those that assisted with the Launching and loading up of boats\trailers.
Next up is back to the NorthEast River, MD out of Anchor Marine in little less than 2 weeks.
Tightlines,
BN06
