Alright boys and girls, we're onto week#2 and the gang came out to Rainbow Lake to Play.
Today's theme is dedicated to Big Bass Man Sam....for being a rookie anglers but unexplicably kicking the rest of the field arse....like 1- 2- 3. Rookie my butt!!!
Shad going 2.73lbs
Yeah....you get props when you pull Gigantic Shad out your junk and make a clean sweep of misc.
Anyways.....Back to Today, Today 18 SJHT members came out to do battle at Rainbow Lake located in RosenHayn NJ. These numbers are what we typically avg. at the beginning of the season. In what can only be described as the Bass, Shad, perch, and pickeral waking up from a long winter, they kept most anglers busy throughout the day.
Rookie newcomer Mark R.
Jiggen Den's runner-up Misc at 2.34lbs
Without further adieu, please give a big shout out to Rookie newcomer Sam *Big Bass Man I am* Fitzpatrick for taking 1st place and Lunker for the 2nd week in a row with 3 Bass going 11.47lbs. Sams Lunker went an amazing 4.86lbs. This only followed his last week Lunker of 5.54lbs at Union Lake. 2nd Place was won by White Mike with 3 Bass weighing 8.88lbs. [/b] 3rd Place was won by Rendell H. with 3 Bass going 6.73lbs[/b].
Congrats men on coming out on and playing down at Rainbow Lake.

Summary: We had a total of 18 members come out for our 2nd of the year 2017 Club T. 14 out of the 18 anglers caught at least 1 Bass. There was 5 Limit weighed in. 26 Bass were caught in total giving way to 57.54 lbs . That gave an avg. of 2.21lbs per bass.
This new rookie Sam *The Bass Man* F. has everyone puzzled even me. If he pulls a trifeca at Newton Lake.....then I'll have to put him on the SJHT Ban of not fishing lakes too close to home. LOL!!!! Just Kidding.
Thanks again to all and hope to see you next week at Newton Lake
Tightlines,

Whoah!!! Sweet! Yeah you would have definitely beat out that Shad caught by Sam.
BTW... That GoPro Image is pretty cool. Do you actually keep the video portion on while you're fishing?
I told Rendell he should sell me his...since he has not figured out how to correctly use it!!! LOL!!!

Thanks BN. Yup, I run the video all day and then take a sceen shot of any cool pictures. I have 4 batteries and two 64gb memory cards and that gets you 8 hours.
Im thinking about doing a video journal of all my catches this year on BassNJ, but worry about burning some spots if I did. |

BN,
I recommend this. For a fraction the price of a gopro it gets the job done. I ran mine yesterday. two 32gb cards and a few battery swaps

Matt,
Great suggestion and Find on Amazon. I'll definitely look into it sometime this week. Once I get my trolling motor squared away and get back into action....this device looks very much doable.
Rob...a video journal I believe is the next move. When I watch review Jose Rivera interviews on FB and his steady quality video shots, I'm impressed.
With the GoPro like devices, I always question the battery limitations or storage capacity.
Definitely worth looking into.
Thanks

Ok, hallmark moment over, time to start backboating lol. Overall good day on the water. We caught fish all day, definitely the best day I've had on damn rainbow. See everyone at the newt, should be better than it was 2 weeks ago. Or at least I hope...

Dan is right! The Honey moon is over "Big Bass Man" Sam.
Not sure if as a kid.....you've been held upside down from your ankles and had the switch laid on ya.....but word on the street is that if you happen to show up at Newton Lake....an arse whooping is going to be waiting for you with sprinkles on Top.
Now....I'm just the messenger but you've been warned.
Heed at your own discretion.
