Hey guys happy holidays everyone!

I picked up a Lowrance Elite 7 TI. The wife doesn't know what to get me for My birthday now. Any recommendations on what navionics chip to get or if it's even worth it?

I dont have one and I always wish i had it when we fish the North East. If you are fishing bigger waters I think its worth it. Its the one off season purchase that I have to make this year actually,

I would get the Navionics+ chip. You can download updates regularly for the cost of the chip the first year and then for $99 every year after that you can download updates yearly. The updates are not just a onetime upload. You can upload as many times a year as you want and you can upload different regions if you're taking a trip to say Canada.

I agree with Troop. I have the Navionics Premium Chip for the Northeast and have downloaded any updates I've needed for the last 2yrs.

Thanks!

The downloads give you the most up to date charts but be careful, they are good for staying in the channels but out side of that they are not that accurate in shallow waters.

FYI walmart online has it on sale for $125 instead of $150. Then Navionics has a $50 rebate so you can get it for $75
