Welcome back to SJHT 10th Club Tournament of the season.
There were alot of Sub Par 12" Bass caught today and plenty between the 12"~14.75" variety. The anglers that managed to bring in a least one legal size 15" were happier than pigs in a blanket....Right Rob! LOL!!!
Without further adieu, please give a big shout out to Joe Reed for taking 1st place with 3 Bass going 6.91lbs. 2nd Place was won by Brian *SubFish* M. with 3 Bass weighing 6.82lbs 3rd Place was won by Wayne *Moe* N. 3 Bass going 5.66lbs. Last and not least, Lunker was won by Rob *Ram1212* with an impressive slob going 4.66lbs. Congrats to these men as they were able to spread out the purse and figure these Assunpink Bass out.

My Pics on the water and species caught:
Summary: We had a total of 10 members and 1 Guestcome out today. 7 out of the 11 caught at least 1 Bass. There was only 3 Limits weighed in. 15 Bass were caught in total giving way to 33.06lbs . That gave an avg. of 2.20lbs per bass. The white Perch bite was pretty consistant with the occasional monster pickeral tossed in.
There were numerous smaller Bass caught. Just not of the 15" size. Congrats to Joe R. on the victory and Brian M. for making it close. Rob catching his only Bass and Lunker at 12:24pm right next to me was a classic.
The Pink was very active with Bass biting but like any other NJ body of water, finding the right Bass seemed difficult for most.
Thanks to all for coming out and our guest Chris P. for coming out and assisting dad with the NET Job. Quite literally. LOL!!
Next up is MANASQUAN RES. in 2 weeks.
Tightlines,

I don't think it's the hooks. Probably me. I sharpen every hook that is on my rods before each tour. and they are sharp! I do the old hook on the fingernail test. Maybe I won't sharpen them anymore and see what happens.

Thanks everyone. I caught fish all day long on a chatterbait and a wacky rigged senko knockoff. All the fish I caught were in 2 to 3 foot of water with some grass mixed in. |

Congrats Joes, Brian and Moe! Thanks as well Nasty, Den and Troop. Nothing like a 4.66 @ 12:24pm to make a day better.
Mine came out of less than 2 ft of water in heavy weeds. I spent most of the day chasing fish deep, which i learned was completely wrong around 11:30 after watching Joe catch his last fish and 2 teenagers pull out what looked like a 5 pounder under the pads. What I didn't get was the previous week I caught some really good fish all in 10-12 ft. Saturday, nothing! I saw on FB the next day at that youth TX they were deep! Those Pink fish can be tricky.
See everyone in 10 days and 22 hours.
