Weather: Fantastic 50 Degrees at launch rising to a very warm 72 degrees towards Mid Day, with blue bird skys

Water current and Level: N/A
Best Lure: Rattletraps, Plastic Lizards
Depths fished: N/A
Bass Limit: 3

Let the fun begin and welcome Ms. Spring weather!!! On Saturday, SJHT members opened up there 2010 season with 20 members and 1 guest doing battle at Davis Mill Pond. One could not ask for better weather. Unseasonably warm weather and blue bird skys along with fiesty anglers ready to wet a line. Opening up for the second year in a row at DMP, anglers knew with the warming water temps that it might be an early bite. Out of 21 anglers, only 1 angler managed to bring 3 Largemouth Bass to the scales.
Without further adieu, a big congratulation goes out to the former 2008 AOY Chris *5BigGirls* Dalfonso for catching 3 Bass going 4.65lbs. Our guest, Jiggen Dens son Dennis Jr. took 2nd place and Lunker with 1 Bass weighing 2.39lbs. Third place was taken by Dale "LipRipper" with 2 Bass weighing 2.21lbs. Fourth place was taken by Trapper with 1 Bass weighing 2.01lbs.
Note: Since Dennis Jr. was a guest, for points recording 3rd place will recieve 2nd place points, and 4th place will recieve 3rd place points.
Heres the Tale of the Tape:
So as one can see, there was only 14 Bass brought to the scales today. Since I was unable to attend this 1st event, I'm quite sure anglers will share there "Day on the Pond".
Next week, we'll be at Parvin SP and hopefully the warmer air temps will remain and really heat up those Lunker Bass

Congrats Chris! My day was spent tossing everything I had. Had 2 hits landed one and lost one both were on lipless cranks in about 3 feet of water. |

Got my one and only fish on a red eye shad rattle trap in 5 feet of water 8:20 am  Not another bite the rest of the
day

I got mine early in the morning at about 9:30 in 4 feet of water on one of those rattle traps. That was my only bite of the day. He was hanging around some wood. That was my first keeper of the year so I was happy either way. |

Tboe, do you have the picture of my fish by chance? If so can you forward it to me? It was my first of the year so would like to put it in my 2010 fish folder to be.
