Good day SJHT members and guest.

A little late but still in time for keeping abreast with happenings within the community.

On Wednesday night February 17, 2016, I attended the monthly SJBCA 3rd Wednesday of the month meeting down at the 4th Ward Clubhouse...

Member Turnout was decent with 19 Bass Clubs reps in attendance.

SJBCA Officers and Bass Clubs in attendance:
Fred Lentz- President (South Jersey Hawg Hunters)
Joe Hoban- 1st Vice President (South Jersey Bass Stalkers)
Rob Kunze- 2nd Vice President (Cumberland County Bassmasters)
Stu Cohen- Treasurer (South Jersey Kayak Fishing CluCool
Al Franchetta- Secretary (Cumberland County BassMasters)
Joe Franswa - Tournament Director - (Tidewater Bassers)
Rashawn Lewis- Director 1 (South Jersey Hook This)

Committee Reports:
Audit Committee- New 2016 committee was form to include: John Sullivan, Mike Riordan, and Robert Jack
*Audit committe met and reviewed Financial Journal for 2015.
* All was said to be in agreement and approved.

Scholarship Committee:
- MaryAnne Franchetta, Mike Riordan, and Me.
- 2016 Scholarship Applications, Guidelines, and Introduction letters were updated and given to Fred.
- Official electronic documents were to be sent out on Friday, February 19, 2016.
- Official deadline is Monday, May 2, 2016 for all returened documents.

Flea Market Committee: Coty Camp, Joe Hoban, Al Franchetta, and Stu Cohen
*19 Paid Vendors confirms using 40 Tables as of todays date.
* 2016 will be back at the Elks Lodge in Millville
* Lure donations for the tackle box raffles are very much welcome by anyone. It can be Fresh Water and Salt Water type lures.

CLUB Business:
* Weigh-In Trailer-Tires were replaced and should be ready by Flea Market in March.

Youth Fishing Activities:
* Bait & Hook now located in Turnersville NJ

Tournament and Lake News:
* Tournament news and conflicts
* Lake and ramp Updates[/b]

- Cooper River- No SCHEDULED COMPLETION DATE.
All clubs are being suggested to not schedule anything on this body of water.

Association Business:
Old Business:

* The 2016 Bass Bowl location came down to Salem Canal and Beltsville, Lake. Both ended in a tie on the initial vote. Club reps voted a second time amongst the 2 options and Salem Canal won out. Go Figure!! LOL!!

New Business:
* Review annual 2016 budget.
* Not complete yet..will have final report next month after Flea Market.

Some of the items on the agenda will be:
* Review the fishermans Flea Market
* Plan for the June Open Buddy Tournament\hold drawing for paid dues for next year (from among clubs who donated lures towards the flea market tackle box raffle.

So in summary and important dates to remember:

* WMA Permits should be forth coming
* Fishermans Flea Market is coming in March.
* Possibly new permitting for clubs fishing the Upper Chesapeake, MD areas and Release points. (More info. to come).

Any SJHT member is welcome to attend, meet up, or travel down with me to the monthly SJBCA meetings. The inner and outer workings is open to anyone interested in learning more about these meetings.

Wow the canal won! Man it's going to be tight with all them boats.

This past bass bowl had 33 boats. 2014 was cancelled. 2013 had 17 boats. 2012 had 35 boats. My other club holds a t there around 4th of July every year and weve drawn 30-32 boats the past 3 years. It will be ok. Just tough to drive these huge distances to win $40. And it's the south jersey bowl. Will be nice for it to be in south jersey for once
