Thanks for the replies guys. Thanks to Bob and Subfish, SJHT is able to provide 3 boat Captains for this Sundays event.
Nothing like checking out an unknown body of water for the first time.
Dave Haas and the BRRC crew appreciate our support.
Thanks again to all.

I along with the rest had a blast! Here are some images of the boats/trailers in the AM and at the initial launch.
An event wouldn't be complete unless the Nastyman taking a dip in the pond....Sorry phone is still drying out so no pics. [smilie=2funny.gif]
Note: Thanks again to the volunteers in Sciver for initially stepping up and to Brian McCulley for coming and spending the day with our youth of tomorrow. Time well spent and enjoyed.

Mike,
Back in Feb. Dave Haas of Rippin Lipps attended a SJBCA Meeting and requested volunteers of member SJBCA club members to come out on Sun. April 26. I knew at that time our club was not fishing any tournaments and i had no prior obligations...so i initially volunteered.
Just this past week, the organizer required 2 additional boat captains to participate in this event.
There were a combination of High Schools teams and some NJ Bass Nation kids/teenagers fishing for own rights to gain points and make the regional team. Brian and Neil Brooks Vacant Palantine Lake property was used to host the after events (team award presentation, pictures, BBQ, pick up and drop off of boat captains and there vehicles/trailers, and so forth. Ike's Enormous house is right next door on I believe like 5 acres of land. Thanks to Brian "Subfish"McCulley and previous volunteer Bob Van Sciver, the event was a success.
More info. Can be found on Facebook under Dave Haas Thread.
To answer your question, there were a couple of nice fish caught but due to it being basically a paper Tournament, pictures can be seen on FB. Nothing really gigantic but there was some BIG fish missed on the hooked sets. SMDH! I counted at least 6-7 good misses by some slobs and weak hook sets.
Palantine seems to hold some decent fish and with the proper time on the water, I so wanted to make a cast at some of the emerging lilly pads because thats where they were.

] Palantine Lake Tale of the Tape:
We had a nice day and some good fishing at the second Rippin Lipz youth fishing club. Thanks goes out to all the boat captains who come out and volunteer their time and boats for the day. Without you guys this doesn't happen. Doug Vernon, David Snedeker,Ed String, Charles Bay,Brian Brooks, Bill Sleek,Rashawn Lewis , Brian J McCulley, Jeff Hudson,Neil Brooks,Steve Rybacki and Mr Moretti.
Special thanks goes out to Neil Brooks for opening his property for us to use for the awards ceremony and the BBQ afterwards.
I would like to thank all the parents who come out to help with these events, from driving the boat captains back and forth to helping with the loading and unloading of the boats ,taking pictures, setting up , bringing and making the delicious food, grilling and the cleanup afterwards. It is great to have that kind of support from all the great parents.
I also want to thank Ed String ,Bill Sleek and Jeff Hudson for donating lures for all these kids .
Results were ....in the 11 to 14 age group 1st was Kevin Hannum with 2 for 3.8lbs 2nd was Matt Gauld with 1 for 2.12
15 to 18 age group tied for first place was Griffen Hurt and Jake Haas with 4.14 . Griffen had a bigger kicker so he got the prize. 3rd was Jason Campbell with 2 for 2.50 4th through 7th Jake Vernon 1.11 Justin Brooks 1.10 Will Murray 1.6 Jeff Seratelli 1.5
In the high school division Rancocas Valley edged out Collingswood High with 3.9 lbs to 3.0 lbs
Great job by all the kids it was a grind all day but everyone gave it their all right to the last minute!
