What would a complete season be without battling for the member only 2014 Tag Team Belts on the line?
Member names were literally thrown into a bucket with the Top 6 anglers drawing first. Anglers were paired with those yet still in the bucket. 6 out of 7 Teams were formed and actually showed up. The fun began when anglers were detoured on the Southbound drive down RT. 13 aka Dupont Highway due to the construction work on the southbound side. This added another 15 minutes to the trip to Lums Pond.
As anglers arrived at the dark boat ramp and mosey over to give there donations, the angler known by the JRBassPro aka. The "Black Mama".... AKA...."Snoop Doggy Dogg". AKA..."Dave Chappelle" finally arrived after being lost and confused. LOL!!!!
This years last and final event for the SJHT crew was held this late in the season due to not fitting it in during the regular season tournaments. It's always the intent for all to have fun and possibly fish with a member that we might have fished with during the course of the season or during the past.
Without further adieu, I'm proud to present you the winner of this years version of the 2014 SJHT Tag Team Tournament Champions. Let's give a big shout-out to the Team of Kyle S. and White Mike for Taking 1st place and the coveted 2014 Tag Team Belts with 2 Bass weighing 4.82lbs. There Lunker went 3.45lbs.
2nd Place and Lunker Winner was won by the Team of 2013 AOY Jackson "Never count my bad ass out" Fu and 2014 AOY and Classic Champion Brian *SubFish* M. who brought in 1 Bass going 4.74lbs.
[b]3rd Place was won by the hubby and wife dynamic duo of Bill *The Hammer* L. and Janeen L. with 1 Bass going 1.08lbs.
Way to go ladies and gentlemen!! Thank you for coming out and battling till the very end!
1st place Team winners and 2014 SJHT LUMS POND Tag Team Champions.: Kyle and White Mike
2nd Place Team winners Jackson *I'm still on Fire* Fu & Brian *SubFish* M.
3rd Place Team winners: Bill L. and Janeen L.
Lums Pond Tale of the Tape:
Other pics from the weigh-in:
There were 0 Limits brought to the scales.. 3 out of 6 Teams weighed at least 1 Bass. There were a total of 4 Bass weighed in totaling 10.64 lbs. That gave way to avg. bass weight of 2.66lbs.
LUMS Pond was tough as nails. I for one barely got a bite. The water clarity and thin green film on the surface of the water didn't seem a problem but unless you got them earlier on, they seemed to disappear as the day went on. My partner Rob caught 2 small dinks. I caught NOTHING!!!! Anglers were seen searching high and low in spots typically good pre-spawning and spring time spots. As evident by the Tale of the Tape, LUMS Pond does not seem like the ideal body of water this time of year, however that's fishing. I will say the leaves turning colors along with brisk air did make the settings somewhat picturesque. Even with Saturdays results, LUMS Pond will remain on the 2015 SJHT schedule.
So in summary, The Team of Kyle and White Mike proved to be a bit much for the team Jackson and Brian to overcome. and for that matter, the rest of us. I really hope everyone enjoyed the 2014 season and the ups and downs delivered to us at the very start of the season. I'm very much looking forward to the 2015 season. With Jiggen Den stepping down at Tournament Director, I'm looking for others willing to take on new challenges and responsibilities as it's more than 1 or 2 man position. Think hard and serious and feel free to ask Jiggen Den his feelings. As with all good things, it starts with you guys and gals as the members. We may not agree with everything, but at the end of the day I hope all are dealt with fairly and openly. I believe respect is earned and not just given. With that said, Thanks again for a different and competitive 2014 season. The memories captured, shared, and ball busting should\will last a life time.
Another big Thanks goes out to all the members but specifically Jiggen Den for making sure our events ran smoothly and timely. There is a lot of planning and organizing well in advance to the things that go on behind the scene. Kudos goes out to you!!
See you all Next March 2015 for our Opening of the season .

Thanks guys. After those 2 keepers within the first 1.5 hours, I thought we would of had a limit by 10:30 but after those 2 keepers, I only caught one more little dink. When I saw that fish jackson had, I thought he had us beat. That thing was a beast. I can't wait til the 2015 season!
