On Wednesday night, March 19th, 2014 I attended the monthly SJBCA 3rd Wednesday of the month meeting down at the 4th Ward Clubhouse...
At last nights meeting, the 2014 SJBCA Fishermen Flea Market results were discussed. Vendors overall seemed happy with the turnout and reception of interested customers. They had 362 Paid Adults whiich equated to $724.00 The SJBCA Made $314.00 off the Freshwater Raffle and $172.00 off of the Saltwater Raffle. The 50/50 raffle drawing took in $82.00 Reveunue generated came to about $1,292.00. Club Member Rosters are being accepted. I submitted those fully paid up to our 1st tournament of the year. More names maybe possibly added as the SJBCA reach there July 2014 Deadline. Documented members will be elegible to fish there Club Bass Bowl in that given year.
Member Turnout was decent with 20 Bass Clubs reps in attendance.

* Todd Pride of the Youth and Angler outdoor program spoke on his organizations involvement\partnership with B.A.S.S. as they prepare to bring the elite series to the Delaware River the week of August 7th-10th, 2014. They will launch out of Frankford Arsenal with the Weigh-ins planned down at Penns Landing. Mr. Pride would like for a SJBCA presence by having a 10x10 booth and volunteers looking to man those booths. More specific information to come from Big Fred and who might be attending.

- Backyardbass.com which is a new Kids fishing club wants to be voted in as Friends of the Association. I believe they're associated with Swimming River Bass Club.
WMA requested permits were submitted to Chris Smith. Should be mailed or emailed to individual clubs.[/b]

Audit Committee- New committee was form to include: Stu Cohen, John Sullivan, and Mike Riordan.

Scholarship Committee:

-As of March 10th, 2014- Email faxes, and flyers of the 2014 SJBCA Scholarship Application and guidelines were sent out to various South & Central Jersey Public and Parochial schools. Guidance counselors should pass down to students.
* Copies of the 2014 Applications were also distributed at the Fishermen Flea Market.
Last year we had an overwhelming response. For 2014, we're hoping to have an even better response.
[b]There are 5 Key categories scored upon: 1. Academics; 2. Major\Minor of Study. 3. Written Essay; 4. Recommendation letters; 5. Overall score on a 5 Point Scale. (i.e. 1= Least; 3=Average; 5=Outstanding)

* Very successful once again. Great turnout. Vendors made money. Nothing too much more to speak on. See my comments above.
CLUB Business:
* $18 Trailer Registration Fee paid and new Registration recieved.*

* New Youth Fishing Club. Presently there are 257 Colleges that offer a B.A.S.S. Type program. The new club has members in 2 categories: 11-14 Age Group and 15-18yrs age group.:
