Another outstanding turnout by the SJHT crew and 1 guest f(ormer member Justin *Bass Steeler* L. Today, SJHT had 16 members and 1 guest come out to do battle and throw stones at Stone Tavern Lake. A central jersey WMA body of water.
There were a total of 19 bass caught weighing a total of 20.61lbs . 3 members caught there limit of 3 Bass. 11 out of 17 anglers caught at least 1 bass. This gave way to avg. weight of 1.08lbs. Lunker Fish was noted and won by Jimbo for the second week in row going 2.50lbs.
Let's give a big congrats to Jimbo for taking 1st place with 3 Bass going 4.25lbs and Lunker Bass going 2.50lbs . 2nd Place was won by Rob *Ram1212* with a tie-breaking and lunker weight of with 3 Bass going 3.65lbs Rob's lunker went 1.87lbs. 3rd Place was won by Action Jackson F. with 3 Bass weighing 3.65lbs His Lunker went 1.60lbs.

Saturday's bite from word on the street was not only a tough one, but the dense grass pockets made it even tougher. The dropshots and Mr. Senko proved to be the bait they wanted.
Thanks again to all of the SJHT members and our guest for today Justin *BassSteeer* L. for coming out today. Next week is Mercer Lake.
Note: Thanks to White Mike for taking these photo's along with the Tale of the Tape. Shout out to Jay, John, and Jimbo during the weigh-in process and help with returning the scale.
Congrats again to Jimbo, Rob, and Action Jackson on your top place finishes.
Tightlines,

Congrats Jimbo, Rob, and Jackson You guys are dialed in. Not much for me threw everything I had at them, even some old school slider worms. Finally got one around 1130 on a jig and creature. Saw lots of bluegill and tried a lot of things to imitate them, but no takers. Place is pretty cool to see water that clear. The road in sucks!!! |

Murphy.
I found 3 fish stacked up in one spot! caught them all on the drop shot with a Jackal flickshake in Camo color!
I was without electronics on the bow, so I'm only guessing, but I would say they where in 4-5 feet of water... I had 5 keepers on all day, I culled once and lost the other at the boat! Had One jig bite which I never got off the bottom.
P.S. Just between me and you though...

Jimbo,
You did it old school, no electronics. Way to go. Thanks for the insight.
P.S. Don't worry, I won't tell.

Thanks Rob! I'm having a bit of a lucky run indeed... BUT lets be serious Jackson has been the man all year! He has lapped the field, and with all the great anglers in our club that's a pretty AWESOME feat!
You haven't been exactly laying down either! Nice to see your having the success you've always deserved... All those Ironman awards are really starting to pay off!
I had a "wise old man" tell me once that the most important thing you can have in fishing is confidence... I can see you've put your time on the water, and got your mojo working!
Anyone want to guess who the "Wise old man" is?

No, He is older than grandfather time, and sometimes fishes with the "Grim Reaper"...

I hear that guy retired from competitive fishing. He now resides on a private lake where every fish is a 5lbder, unless your name is Warren and every fish is a 6lbder. |
