Once again SJHT had another fantastic club turnout. Don't know if it was the pizza/hoagiefest along with the beverages, but Thanks to our guest Bridie. (Subfish young lady) and Sue (Bass hoppers youg gal) for coming out and battling on a pretty Hot, Steamy, scorcher of an afternoon. A Big thanks also goes out to big Al "The Joker" C. for arranging for and picking up the delicious food for our festivities.
Today, SJHT had 16 members and 2 guest come out to play. Nice turnout!
There were a total of 22 bass caught weighing a total of 31.25lbs . 3 members caught there limit of 3 Bass. 13 out of 18 anglers caught at least 1 bass. Lunker Fish was noted and won by Dennis *Jiggen Den* T. with a weight of 2.28lbs. There was 1 Snakehead caught yours truly and dealt with accordingly.
Let's give a big congrats to SJHT new rookie member Joe Reed . for taking 1st place with 3 Bass going 5.04lbs. 2nd Place was won by the Silent Assasin and 2013 SJHT Points leader Jackson F. with 3 Bass going 4.00 lbs. 3rd Place and Lunker was won by Dennis *Jiggen Den* T. with 3 Bass weighing 3.97lbs. Wow...Jackson plays spoiler once again by .03oz. Way to figure them out and survive the snake heads. Lol.

March of the geese...... lol
Saturday was another great day to be out on the water. Anglers reported suddle pick-ups and many small bass bites Some anglers lost some good ones near the boat, while others like myself continued to throw the kitchen sink. Lol. I caught my lone keeper with just 30 mintues left in the tournament on that multi-colored senko near a fallen tree. Between catching the snakehead and that bass with little time remaining, it really made my day. Way for everybody to battle to the end and congrats to check cashiers. Thanks again to Rob on the rider seat and Jay and Jiggen Den on the weigh in process.
Next Up: Assunpink Lake club event Sun. July 14th, 2013.

I had a couple missed fished that wouldve put me in top 3 for sure...
After I caught my 2lb bass I had the biggest bass I ever seen at Stewarts follow my bait back to the boat but did not strike. Was at LEAST 5lbs...its actually the biggest bass i seen all year. When i saw it my heart was racing so fast you thought I was on speed. I'm glad I didnt catch it, i mightve had a heart attack lol
Congrats to Joe on the win and jackson on second...good to see the jig master denny cash a check too

Thanks guys, and congrats to Joe and Jackson. Honestly I should have had atleast 6 or better lbs. for total weight. I lost atleast 3 good fish that were in the 2-3lb range. Some of you heard me shout out some unfavorable words on the water! Sorry! Fish were hooked and just came unbuttoned. On another note just as everyone was coming through the bridge and around to the ramp I did the same and pitched my jig along the bank. 3 pitches and 3 hooked fish and all came off they were all definite keepers, one I actually slammed into the side of the boat trying to swing it in. this all happened with 10 min to go! That place was turning on big time in the last 15 min of the tourn. I had a blast. Jackson, what happened to you rod??? Mike where did you see that 5 lbder?

Wow 0 for 3 in the last 3 at bats Huh Jiggen Den? Wow. Can't say that has not happen to the best of us. Earlier on, when you had I believe lost your 1st good one and me and Rob were near, I said to Rob, "Sounds like Dennis lost a good one"
When we saw you continuing to work that shore line, little did we know that side was hotter than our side.
I think the bite was definitely somewhat turning on as I got more and better hits in the last 30 minutes of the tournament. I'm glad any possible storms held off and everyone got to enjoy in the food festivities.

The godzilla bass was right after the first bridge to the right....I noticed this area hadnt been fished at all throughout the tourney so I went over there...I made a cast and Bam I got my first keeper...then 2-3 casts later i saw some giant black mass following my bait. At first I thought it was a turtle until it got closer to the boat then I saw the mouth and dorsal fin. For some reason she just stared at it for about 20-30 seconds before dissapearing. It was close to the boat too, maybe 5 feet max. I have this happen to me last time I was there also. Then after that I caught a short fish in the same area as well. I dont know what this bass was doing up in 1.5 feet of water but it was a giant. Wouldve won the tournament alone maybe. Theres big fish in stewarts, but they are pretty spooky.
