SATURDAY, MARCH 16, 2013 ON THE SALEM CANAL!!!!
Alright ladies and gentlemen! Let's get this party\season started on the Canal!!!
As we embark on our 2013 season, I'm hoping for a great turnout as usual.
Note: If you have not personally spoken to me directly, via email, or via a PM regarding status of fishing this year or coming back, this needs to be rectified by this coming Saturday. All club due(s) should have been settled or satisfied by the 1st tournament of the season. If not, as I create our Master Tournament Roster listing your name will not be included and any previous standing information will be deleted.
I'm looking forward to a smooth running event this upcoming weekend. Dunkin Doughnuts and a box of Jo will be provided first thing in the AM to mark our 2013 SJHT Bass Fishing Season Kickoff.
With that said, can I get a preliminary indication on who will be fishing this event and will you be bringing a guest possibly? If so, your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

I'll be fishing alone. Unfortunately, not with a lot of confidence, as I've put in about 14 hours (2 trips) there this month without a single bite. Talked to many others with the same result. Hopefully things change. Did find water up to 45 degrees on Saturday when I was there. Maybe a degree or two will make the difference.
On a side note, was checked by the authorities for boat compliance this past weekend, so be sure to have all the proper equipment/paperwork.
Also got a Coast Guard safety certification while I was at the ramp. My one downfall was not having a mirror or signaling device. Ended up passing the course when I found a CD in my truck. Very useful in there!?
