First off, I would like to THANK All of todays participants (boaters and non-boaters) for coming out and taking part in our very successful 6th annual Union Lake Open Bass Buddy Tournament. With the Holiday weekend and family commitments, all 26 teams deserve a big round of applause in battling the somewhat tough inactive bass and spending a day amongst fellow anglers.
Note: Special shout outs goes out to SJHT VP Jay Niessan and wife for helping out with the morning livewell checks and registration process. Another shout out goes to Terry "Tboe" and running mate Andy "Trapper" for leaving "Rainbow lake" and coming out to help with the actual weigh in process. I personally thank you guys and gals!!!

Here's the Tale of the Tape:
Similiar to many other lake fishing conditions and from the word on the street, "If you were not in the Grass...then you was playing in the wrong field".The 2 teams that reached there limit of 5 Bass definitely figured them out and I believe was able to cull towards the end. While others anglers caught various LMB's and SMB's, that elusive kicker fish was no where to be found for them. Judging by the weights and pics to follow, anglers had a hard time finding keepers yet alone anything over the 4lb category.
Other anglers pics and catches: Dan the Man and Shawn

Another gorgeous day out on the water trying to figure out those Bass
Thanks again and Congrats to all on a decent 4th of July Holiday celebration.
