Hey..Hey...Hey!!! As Fat Albert would say, "The SJHT gang is back in business after allowing those Largemouths to spawn and do there business". What's up with the weather lately? All this rain is making mushrooms grow out in my yard. Go Figure!!! and I'm not talking about the Jefferson version of Mushrooms!!! Anyway....lets get it going.
Today, SJHT had a solid 20 members and 2 guest come out to fish Cooper River Park.
Parking lot was pretty full
A big welcome goes out to our newest member Rob Masterson a.k.a. "Ram1212" who hails from the Assunpink area. Glad you were able to finally wet a line with the rest of guys\gals and hope to see you (and your buddy Pete) at the other scheduled club tourneys. On a day that re-opened NJ's Bass season, members came out to do battle. Having to sit this one out, (i.e. Dance Recital), I can only imagine how fun it was when the rain began and some decent Qty's were brought to the scales. Not to mention word on the street that a muskie was caught at the Coop. There was nothing really huge brought to the scales but word on the street was that several anglers were culling by 9am.
Without further adieu, a big congratulations goes out to Chris "5BigGirls" Dalfonso for defending his 08 SJHT Cooper River title by taking 1st place with 3 Bass going 6.02lbs. Second was won by Bill "The Hammer" L with 3 Bass going 5.45lbs. Jimbo followed up with a 3rd place finish with 3 Bass going 5.32lbs and Lunker of the day at 3.27lbs. Way to go guys and cull fish early in the AM!!!

Wish I could give you more patterns, lures used, depths fished, areas caught, and interesting sites...but my fellow guys will have to do the honors.
Thanks to Tboe for supplying the pics in my absence and John and Jay for running things smoothly. Shouts out to Jimbo for watching over the final Tale of the tape in the book.
Next weekend is Union Lake and I hope to see many of the same faces once again.
