------------------------------------------------------------------- A DAY OF REDEMPTION DOWN AT PSP!!!!! Come getcha some of this!!!
and some of this.....
What a change in scenary from just 1 week ago where only 2 Dink size bass were weighed in!!!! Similar to many other bass clubs this weekend, 16 members of SJHT took to the waters to battle for that elusive 15" Keeper in the very, very windy conditions!!! We actually had 17 but due to electrical issues...FishinTroop had to bail within the 1 hour of the Tourney. Okay...here we go!!!
Having not won a tournament in all of the 2008 SJHT Season, our defending 2007 AOY came back for his revenge!!! A big congratulations goes out to Dennis "Jiggen Den for taking 1st place with 3 Bass going 7.57lbs. Second place and Lunker was won by John "GoneFishin" Gundle with 2 Bass going 6.32lbs with Lunker going a nice 4.35lbs!!! Third Place was taken by Chris "5BigGirls" Dalfonso with 2 Bass going 5.09lbs. Way to hang in there guys and bring some nice Hogs to the scales...
1st Place: Jiggen Den
2nd Place and Lunker winner "GoneFishin: with the help of the PINKHOOKER!!!
3rd Place: 5BigGirls Dalfonso
Here's the Tale of the Tape:

and yes....I found my way into the action with what I thought was Lunker of the Century!!!! LOL Damn!!!
All in all, there 11 Keepers caught with a decent avg. besides Bass Hoppers 1.88lber!! GoneFishin could have possibly won the whole thing but he lost 2 Whoppers as he was reeling towards the boat...and No.. it was not the PinkHookers fault!!! I just had to say that for the record and browny points!!! For me, the bite started early with various sizes of pickeral being caught. Not till really the wind subsided did I somewhat develop some type of a pattern. Anglers ala 5BigGirls caught 8 Bass but only 2 over the 15" Min. Although the conditions were somewhat difficult to deal with, it was nothing compared to what other anglers had to deal with on Saturday with 48+ MPH winds!!!
Congrats once again to all that came out and lets getting ready to close the 1st half of the Bass Open season with some BrownBacks at Union Lake!!!!
