If we do fish Lenape, a reminder to have your permit stickers on the right side bow facing the ranger station as you pull in, so it is visible from the rangers window. Also have necessary paperwork on your boat, registration, insurance, boaters safety certificate, fishing license etc. just in case. Don't forget your life jackets, and wear them while running you gas motors, and slow down when passing anyone who is stopped and fishing within reason. Cpalmers idea of pulling numbers out of a hat for start position is ok with me, any thoughts from anyone else??

I like the numbers from hat idea. Also can permit stickers be obtained the day of tournament? I will not be running outboard for this event if I am able to make it due to not having insurance yet, so is there any thing else I should know?
Jiggen Den.....I see no problem taking Chris suggestion and pulling number from a hat. I will have on hand already pre-cut out and anglers will pull from a hat as they pay for that days tournament. Good idea!!!
John....Yes, it can be obtained the day of the tournament but just understand it may delay your launch and the time for you to get ready to put your boat into the water.
I gave Lenny Sr. the phone number over to Lake Lenape Ranger station 609-625-8219 to get further clarification. You might want to call over and ask them if the process would take long. One can still register and Not Run there motors without proof of insurance I believe.

The numbers thing is good however they high power boats are still going to zoom by the small boats. You may want to let the high power boats just go and get out of the way. Might just be the safer bet

Well they shouldn't!!! Did not anyone read my post. Those with bigger boats/motors should slow down while passing smaller boats. Once the big boat is past the smaller boat say at least 25-30 feet then they can open up. Just be courteous out there, be safe, and have fun!

Bob, the address on the envelope that they sent my permit in is 6303 Old Harding Hwy. Mays Landing, N J. Which is AC Parks at Lake Lenape. I come over the Walt Whitman and take 42 S to Weymouth Road and bear right take that to dead end and make left which will take you to the park entrance on the left. Hope this helps.

im not taking my glass boat to lenape tomorrow. i was out there on my little boat about 2 weeks ago when the lake was at full pool and i still hit a s#%t load of stumps, which is strange because in all the years ive been fishing there i havent hit that many stumps. |

I actually PM BN to see the start time also. I think we should start at 7:30 the latest. It should be safe enough to launch. As long as there is no fog!! But you never know with this weather! I'am gonna give him a call and I'll post something. It is now 7:51PM

Start time is 8:00. They may have the chain on the entrance. They won't let anyone in until 7:15-7:30 according to BN. If you have to get you permit, they will take you first come, first serve. Hopefully we can get everyone in and start by 8:00-8:15. Good luck everyone! and remember BE SAFE!!!
