What can I say? Another week... another SJHT tough tournament. Lake Lenape was suppose to make everything right in the world. It was to be one of the talked about destinations on our 2011 schedule. BS!!!LOL!!! As one can see from the above photo, anglers came out ready to do battle with a somewhat unfamiliar body of water. One could not ask for a better overcast, moderate air temps, and space to run our outboards.
Before I let the cat out of the bag, I did have the pleasure to team up with Jiggen Den for our 2nd attempt at the 2011 SJHT Tag Team Belts. Jiggen Dens navigating the Coca-Cola like Lenape waters!!!
Alright enough of the rambling. Today SJHT held there 2nd annual Club Tag Team Belt Tournament down in Mays Landing, NJ. We kicked off with 14 Club members and 2 Guest. Before I forget, Kudo's to the Lake Lenape Ranger who arrived a bit early and allowed for a smooth launch.
There were 2 Limits caught. All in All, only 15 Largemouth Bass were brought to the scales. 9 out of 16 Anglers weighed in a fish. Out of those 9 anglers, only 4 were able to weigh in at least 2 Bass. Total combined weight of fish were 28.91lbs giving an avg. weight of 1.93lbs per bass.
Jiggen Den and I fish all depths of the water column. Close to shore.....away from shore..... Crankbaiting and Rattletrapping to death out towards the center channels without even a sniff at times. Jiggen Den had a couple of small to mid size pickups with his Mighty jig. He closed the deal on a later transaction.
I wish I could report a pattern but I barely had a sniff all day!!!!
Without further adieu, please give a big congratulations to another SJHT Rookie member Jackson F.

Thanks again to all SJHT members and to our 2 guest for venturing out to Lake Lenape today. Kelly M. and Bama guest Austin, SJHT greatly appreciate you coming out and experiencing another day on the water with us. I wish there was more of a bite.
Congrats to Jackson & Kyle on some nice bags and the rest of the catchers. Very cool place. I look forward to returning and catching a bass the next time around.
A thank you to all the heavy lifters yesterday. Sorry to drag you guys from the weigh in but the gentleman who was helping me was just doing it to be helpful. Went and dropped off his kids on a Sunday no less and didnt even charge me. Refused to take money. So I felt bad making him wait. Again, thanks for pitching in!
And yes we made it home! Some weld job.Still going to need a new trailer though so have to figure that part out.
Congrats Jackson on the win. I agree with Hawg Hunter on this one LOL. Congrat to the Kyle and Kerry on the tag team championship too! You guys need to come up with a nickname. All this rain really fouled things up. I fished the Canal on Sunday with Crappie Jon, and we didn't even get a bite. See you guys at Mirror!
Congrats guys. I don't know what's going on with me lately this weekend I fished 14 hours without a bite. At least Ididnt have to suffer alone thanks for the rides troop and lipripper. Gonna do some more surf fishing this week and do my best to redeem myself at the Pink.
