So i headed out this morning down south. first stop was Union. poked around for a little while but i wasnt feelin it. so i pulled the boat and went off to menatico. managed one nice bass like 17" and solid (still wondering why i didnt snap a pic.) It was my 2nd time there so i had just as much fun crusin around all the little ponds and finding my way around. Thay also filled in the long entrance road with small packed stone that rides like blacktop. Way better than the dirt road they had.
But my real reason for posting my day was this sign i stumbled upon at the Union and Menatico ramp
Sounds like they want you to get a copy of your license and put it in the window of your truck? Never seen this before is this new?

Not too new. I know they started doing it at Assunpink a couple years back. It's only a select few Wildlife Management lakes that make you. For example, you have to leave a copy at Assunpink, but do not at Stone Tavern which is 3 miles away and part of the same wildlife area. Not sure of the logic but that's what I know.
Crappie,
Nothing to sweat. For all WMA's we fish, we have a legit permit number for our stated tournament days. I have a copy, Jimbo and Jay also have copies in there respective SJHT Tournament books.
I dont recall really ever seeing a sign, but Union Lake is a WMA....just like Menatico.
