Hey guys, been reading all your reports and pictures since our last tourn. I been nursing a bad shouldler, (my fishing arm to boot!) Been on steroids, had cortisone shots, and therapy, after all that, had an MRI and found out that I have a torn Rotator Cuff!. Well needless to say I'am having surgery on Mon. June 21st and will be in a sling for 4 weeks and out of work approx. 3 months!!!!! depending on how bad it's torn and the recovery part along with weeks of therapy. Oh well, I've only been out fishing 2 times since our break. I plan on fishing Cooper Sat. but may need some help getting my boat back on the trailer with the winch. Don't think my son can make it so I'll be solo. I can't reach out too good or raise my arm above my head, but I'll give it my best since it may be my last tourn. of 2010. Good luck to all!!!!

I'll help you out man, no problem. Sorry to hear about the injury and the surgery. With your description below you sound like a MLB pitcher!
You will have to try to get it better in time to come defend your classic title though.

Holy shit that sucks...  I can't even imagine how dissapointed I would be. To be unable to fish almost the whole summer. Hopefully you mend quickly and can be back for the end of the season... To defend your classic crown!! I will be at the ramp to give you any assistance you may need!!

Wow..Jiggen Den!  Sorry it has come to this. I knew when you told me back in April that surgery was a possiblitity, but never thought it would actually happen.
Like Rob and Jimbo already stated, there should be plenty of helping hands for you at the ramp. I know the surgery was a last alternative but in the long term probably more beneficial.

Thanks guys I appreciate the helping hands. Hell I'am hoping and hoping hard that I can make the Aug. 1st tourn. at Salem, you know how I love that place!!!! Even if I have to maybe hitch a ride??? just to watch somebody fish!

sorry to hear it jig. I know how you feel. This past Nov I had both hips replaced, not fishing much then anyway but there was plenty that I couldn't do. last year was hell for me trying to stand up and fish all day, the classic put me down for a couple of days. You can bounce back these days surgery is much better then it used to be. Take care and if i can help out in any way let me know. Sounds like you wont even have to touch the boat. Thanks man, it was rough flippin and pitchin but had to do it!. How long were you out of commission with both hips replaced?? It sucks getting old!!! and you still have to work!LOL. The money is no good unless you have your health. See ya again hopefully before the end of season!
