Summary: ASSUNPINK Lake today was semi tough. Anglers caught Bass but most were below the 12" typical limit size or just fell short of the 15" Min to qualify. We did note the increase grass\weed build up toward the more Eastern sections of the Pink. One angler even noted a thick Oil Slick on the water seemingly coming from someones farm or property. So thick and the odor was pretty unbearable....according to this angler. The heavy overnight rains must have transported this slick into the Pink somehow.
In All, 9 out of 13 SJHT Anglers caught at least 1 Bass. There were only 15 total Bass caught overall. Assunpink Lake Bass gave way to total of 40.71lbs caught overall.
The avg. weight came out to be 2.71lbs.2 Anglers caught at least there 3 Bass Limit. Decent club turnout in spite of the previous nights heavy rains and strong thunderstorms.
Congrats to Bryson, Brian, Troop, and Trapper on your performanaces.
