I'm a little late in posting this months SJBCA Meeting Notes but I'll try to be quick.
First off congrats to all that attended our 1st meeting of the 2020 season held at the Lower Camden County Library. Seeing old and new faces is refreshing in the dull of winter. Thanks to Jiggen Den and his Wife for making those Delicious Cookies. Man.....they were on point. Thank you Joe Reed for handling the registration process and dues for the 2020 season.
SJHT was also selected for the Major Youth Activity Award Winner in supporting the 2019 Winslow Cops and Boppers Kids fishing derby.
- Bryson Smith was selected as the 2019 SJBCA Lunker winner of the year.
- Jackson Fu won the 2019 SJBCA 3 Bass Limit Heavyiest Weight Award winner

Two weeks ago, we had approx. 7 SJBCA's officers in attendance and 14 Bass Clubs reps in attendance.
This meeting was to suggest on the 2020 Bass Bowl Location, finalized Angler excellence award nominations (which I stated the winners above), and prepare for annual SJBCA Fishermens Flea Market, update the SJBCA 2020 SJBCA Scholarship process, and discuss other SJBCA issues.

- Newton Lake Dredge tentatively not to begin till July 1, 2020
- Potential issue with Central Jersey Kayakers sceduling same Canal Date with SJHT in July. Will bring up to C. Smith upon Feb. 2020 NJ Fisheries Forum to be held at Batsto Village at Wharton State Park
- Notification that the Delware Fishery Permitting site brings up an HTML error message when requesting specific Lake selection permits. I brought to the attention of Brandi at the Conservation Officer level and LUMs State Park also. They are looking into the matter but we were confirmed for both of our scheduled dates. (April and June 2020)

* NJ Fish and Game Annual 2020 Fisheries Forum up at Batso Village up at Wharton State Park to be held Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020. Always very formative (See Notes\pics in separate thread once posted).
Committee Reports:
Audit Committee- 2019 committee to include: John Sullivan, Mike Riordan, and Robert Jack

Scholarship Committee:
- MaryAnne Franchetta, Mike Riordan, and Me.
- Updated 2020 Official Scholarship Letters and Emails to be posted on the SJBCA website.
* Forwarded Email version of the Letters, Scholarship Application and Guidelines to High School Guidance Counselors\Science Teachers in 9 Central\South Jersey Counties in which our members reside or we fish in. New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware High Schools Seniors are elegible.
* As we near Mid Feb. 2020, I intend on emailing all correspondences out to High schools and guidance counselors with return deadline of Friday. May 1, 2020.
* Current Database POC's are always changing and new plans of action will have to be formulated for future updates.
[b]Flea Market Committee: Jake Haas, Al Franchetta, and Stu Cohen
* Final planning for Fisherman's Flea Market.
* Approve any expenses.
* Still Requesting each member club donate 3 Freshwater Lures and 3 Salt water lures to go into this years tackle box. It will be accepted at the door for those planning to attend. Let me know in advance.

NothEast River; Hopatcong; and Nanicoke River were suggested. Clubs should discuss and recommend to there club rep which body of water they would like to fish.
Note: Conwingo Dam, Delaware River, and Salem Canal cannot be selected as it's within the last 3yrs since previously fished for the SJBCA Bass Bowl.

* Present awards to Youth Activity, Angler Excellence and Bass Bowl Winners, vote on the Location of the 2020 Bass Bowl, finalize plans for the Fisherman's Flea Market and review the annual budget.

Note: 2019 SJBCA Jackson Fu won the 3 Bass Category for Heaviest Limit down on the Northeast River. Bryson Smith won the SJBCA Lunker of the Year also down on the NorthEast River, MD. Please let Joe Reed know if you're available to come down to recieve your award or if unable to do so.
