The Pink this time of year has always been up and down in terms of the 15" minimum catch rate. Today was no different. Anglers including myself didn't even get a bite. Not sure if due to the large bait floating on the surface of the lake or the heavy rains from the previous day. Personally, I've never felt the Pink fish so tough in recent years. I guess it will be something to follow and keep an eye on.
Alright...without further adieu, lets give a big congrats to Rob *On my grind* M. for taking 1st place with 3 Bass going 8.36lbs. 2nd Place and Lunker was won by Brian *SubFish* M. with 2 Bass going 6.70lbs with the .50lb penalty deducted for a dead Bass. Brian's Lunker went 5.55lbs.3rd Place was won by Bill *The Hammer* L. with 3 Bass going 5.40lbs. Miscellaneous was won by Brian M. with a decent 1.50lb Pickeral .

Summary: Can you say TOUGH!!!! I'm not even sure if those who caught fish can attest to the fact that it was a grind just to get on the scoring board. In All, 16 SJHT Anglers caught 13 Bass. Giving way to a total of 33.39lbs caught overall. 7 out of 16 Anglers caught at least 1 Bass. 2 Anglers caught at least there 3 Bass Limit. The avg. weight came out to be 2.56lbs. The storms held off till the very end however the Thunder and lightening show in the sky was quite impressive with the down pour as we were getting off the water. Can't really report how the Bass were located as I tried deep and worked the grassy areas. It seemed to most anglers that you had to hit the Bass directly in the face to get bit. LOL!!!
Great job SJHT anglers and Rob on the overall victory.
Congrats Rob on grinding out that third keeper. Did you catch near where we were talking? Congrats on the linker Brian and 2nd place. Nice 3rd place finish Hammer! I was hoping to find 1 keeper but never did. My last bite I thought was a keeper because it had that THUNK and then was weightless. Turns out it was a nice 10lb snapping turtle. Lol.
Congrats Rob you always find them!!! sticking to a place and just pound away!! Nice job Brian on lunker and second. and Bill the Hammer nice bag and 3rd. I myself had one on and off it came!!! Nice fish Layne.
Troop, I caught the third about half way from where I saw you to the pads in the back. Actually had one come off there also that would have been close.
Tough, grind of the day. I stayed in my first area until about noon doing lap after lap until I went crazy. Got lucky catching what ended up being the winning fish around 12:45 when all hope seemed lost, lol.
