Welcome to the New 2019 SJHT Season. From our previous season members to our new members....Thank you for coming out on a day when most would have stayed in bed and watched the NCAAA Basketball Tournaments. Ha Ha!!
Today, SJHT had 19 members come out to fish Stewart Lake located in Woodbury, NJ. Conditions were super tough. Between the fluctuating Air temps and Windy, cold front conditions, it made for a difficult day for most. But as always, a few anglers figured them out.
Let give a big Congrats to the Dan "The Man" F. on taking 1st and Lunker with 2 Bass going 9.36lbs. Dan's Lunker went an impressive 5.32lbs.
Second Place was won by Bill "Fishing Troop" C. on catching his solo bass gong 4.84lbs overall. Third place was won by the Fu man with 2 Bass going 2.80lbs. Miscelleneous was a catfish going 3.52lbs and that was won by Layne E. Congrats Men!

Summary: 3 out of 19 Anglers caught at least 1 Bass. There were a total of 5 Bass caught overall giving way to a total of 17 lbs. The avg. weight of each Bass went 3.40lbs. There were [b]No Limits caught .
So as one can see, Stewarts Lake Bass were not biting as they would normally be. Anglers could not even get a sniff or even a sunny to bite. It was nice to be able to get out the wind at times, but it took a toll on everyones batteries, including mine. Living in NJ, we've come to expect tough starts to the beginning of our seasons. I was really surprised anyone caught a Bass today enlight of no early reports. Those that did find them....found the right ones as depicted in the pics. I wish I could report differently but the facts are the facts. LOL!!!
Still beats a day in the office
Next up is RAINBOW LAKE. Saturday, March 30, 2019
