My apology's for the late post.....but the November meeting was primarily the selecting of the 2019 pre-liminary Schedules.



Good morning SJHT members.

On Wednesday night November 21, 2018, I attended the monthly SJBCA 3rd Wednesday of the month meeting down at the 4th Ward Clubhouse..[

Member Turnout was a bit higher to the 2019 Lake selection pick process. We had [b] 15 Bass Clubs reps
in attendance.

- Newton Creek Water Shed Association- Update on Fall 2019 Dredging timeline and plan. Received latest Email Notification that Dredging will not begin till July 1, 2019, due to timeframe for Bass Spawning periods April 15-June 15, 2019 and turtle hibernation which is currently going on now.

*Winslow Township PD along with members of South Jersey Hook This! Bass Fishing club hosted there 2nd Annual Cops and Boppers Kids fishing Derby Sat. Oct. 20, 2018 from 10am-2pm at WMA Oak Pond located in Winslow, NJ. SJHT had 3 members come out and volunteer. This year approx. 30 kids along with there parents\guardians came out for this event. The weather was not ideal with overcast sky's and sporatic rain. The fishing was very tough in that only 3 fish were caught overall. A great time was had by all with door prizes, free rods\reels, shirts, hats, and food was given out. Each year this event gets bigger and bigger.

- Sunset Lake Ramp has been improved to allow for better drop-off for small to large size Bass boats. Now there is a gradual decline into the water....whereas before your tow vehicle tires had to get wet.

Some of the items on the agenda will be:
* Nominations for New Officers (1st VP, Secretary, Treasurer, Tournament Director, Directors 1 & 2), Final Nominations for annual youth activity awards, initial submissions for annual fishing excellence awards, and continued planning for Fisherman's Flea Market to be held Sat. March 2, 2019) at the Millville Elks Lodge.

So in summary and important dates to remember:

* Congrats to South Jersey Hook This Bass Fishing Club Team Members for winning this years 2018 SJBCA Bass Bowl on the Delaware River.
* 2019 SJHT Club Schedule and picks were submitted with only 1 conflict. This conflict has been resolved with fellow Kicking Bass Fishing Club Members.
* Wed. Dec. 19th, 2019 8pm Annual SJBCA Holiday Party Where the Ribs may make an appearance. Hint..Hint.. Anyone can attend.

* All Upper Chesepeake, MD and Conowingo Dam permits have been submitted and approved as of Mon. Dec. 10, 2018.

* Health and PFD safety was also discussed after the loss of fellow Angler Kayaker Rebecca Golden unfortunate passing while pre-fishing Toledo Bend.

*Newtown Lake Dredging will not begin till July 1, 2019 as per latest update.


Any SJHT member is welcome to attend, meet up, or travel down with me to the monthly SJBCA meetings. The inner and outer workings is open to anyone interested in learning more about these meetings.
