Early Lake Views....after phone started working again...
Today, 12 SJHT members and 1 guest journeyed up to the always plentiful MERCER LAKE. Met by the locked and gated boat ramp barricade, we actually had to wait till sunrise before the Park Ranger came down to open the gate. The more things change...the more they stay the same. Anyway, we finally all get on the water and start around 5:40amish. Anglers headed off in all directions, while some dealt with aerator connection issues which almost sunk there boat. Fortunately, they were able to get back to land safely and try to fix. Sorry Big Al. The bass were biting early and in good spurts. Unfortunately the sizes were below Par. Some anglers in which I witnessed had limits before 7am-8am. Nice to see firsthand. LOL!!
Alright....Without further adieu.....coming off his recent Champlain trip and still feeling himself....please give a big shout out to Bill *Trooper* "I catches them ALL BIG and this WAY" C. for taking 1st place and Lunker with 3 Bass weighing 9.06lbs. Troops Lunker went a WHOPPING 6.10LBS.
2nd Place was won by Jackson "If Only I had Troops 6lber" Fu. . with 3 Bass going 7.36lbs. Fu own Lunker went 3.14lbs. 3rd Place was won by Troops Tag Team Partner Rob "Thank You Troop" M. with [b]3 Bass weighing 6.18lbs. The Miscellaneous pot was won by The Fu Man with a .51lb Crappie.
