As SJHT wrapped up there 13th Tournament of the 2017 Season down on the notorious Tough Salem Canal WMA Lake 13 of our finest members came out to battle for the Mother Load. LOL
The only thing I can say is the conditions were Hot as You Know What!!!! Most anglers were drenched with sweat by the time they got on the water. The flies and mosquitoes had a blood fest on our Flesh. Numerous water breaks and snack breaks were in order as one did not want to succumb to the scorching conditions.
Without further adieu, please give a big shout out to Jackson *Here I come* F. for taking 1st place and Lunker with 3 Bass weighing 5.14lbs. Jackson's Lunker went 2.85lbs . 2nd Place was won by Brian *SubFish* M. with 3 Bass going 3.87lbs. 3rd Place was Rob *I Know I can...I Know I Can.... M. with 3 Bass going 3.85lbs.
Today's Miscellaneous was a TIE won by Dan *Crappie Jon* F. and Jackson *I want it all* F. with a Crappie going .49lbs.

Summary: Today was one of those days that the bass were biting earlier on and even during the latter part of the day. The issue was not with the lack of activity but the Quality of the Bass being caught. There were a couple of Big Bass lost at the boat on the retrieve.
All in all [b]11 out of 13 anglers caught at least 1 Bass. There were a total of 29 Bass caught giving way to a total of 37.42lbs. That gave way to a 1.29lbs per bass. There was an amazing 9 Limits caught.
Overall, Salem Canal proves once again that the Bass are there but the Quality lately seems to be lacking. Anglers toughed it out till the very end. Even Jacksons and Dan's .49lb Crappie Misc. Tie showed how tight and the weight were across the board. LOL
Next up is back is CARNEGIE LAKE. in about 2 weeks.
